Wow just looking at the TOP nominees this will be ONE of the worst shows ever, It may top the AMA's which were worse than a Soul Train awards or Source Awards show, which is not easyto beat. I mean every year the GRAMMIES miss something but it amazes me how little they try anymore to nominate anything, they are trying so hard to PLEASE everyone that the WORTH of the award has gone to ZERO. EVANESCENE gets 5 nominations, thats more than the BEATLES ever had or Led Zeppelin in their careers. My other problem is how they nominate something in a category where it doesnt belong, ANNIE LENNOX and GEORGE HARRISON up for POP ALBUM against Christina Aguilera, first of all, Annie and George should have been in the BEST ALBUM category and thigs Like TIMEBERLAKE and Beyonce should have been in the POP category. ALSO there are more artists in RB than BEYONCE, I dont even consider her RB anyway. I can easily name 10 other FEMALES in RB that could have been nominated in any of the BEYONCE categories. I would LOVE to see PRINCE at this Horror of an awards show, especially to get up there and talk about the state of music today compared to when he started. Im not trying to rip on it all, Im not taking anything away from Aguilera, her nominations are pretty much deserved, that album was a strong album, I mean I dislike her as a person but I cant deny a strong album nor am I saying that BEYONCE doesnt deserve recognition, but please there was BETTER work in that field all year.
And Last but not least WHATS with the BEST NEW ARTIST category, 2 of the nominees had CDS out before. 50 cent had a CD out for SONY, and SEAN PAUL had a first CD a few years back???whats the deal with that, maybe the award should be called BEST NEW ARTIST that WE HAVE NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE THIS CD.
