Britney is NOT the next madonna..Christina is! With all the shit she's bene saying in the media lately-don't you see it? That's MAdonna after she emerged on the scene! CHristina is stirring up controversy and she's the Madonna of the next generation..Maybe she doesn't want to be but these interviews you guys discuss in that other thread Mirror the controversial ones Madonna always gave (and often still gives). Britney just ho's herself out becuase she wants to be the next Madonna but it aint so.
Reference to initial thread: Christrina Aguilera versus the world, the bitch has gone mad "Has anyone seen and heard Christina Aguliera's last few interviews she has really lost the plot, she is lashing out at EVERYONE Here is what she has said in the last week: In the blender interview she compares her self to Van Gogh? She said 8 times to the interviewer that she is an ARTIST and not a performer she said of Britney, Beyonce and Madonna:"These people aren't artists, they're just performers-fake and superficial." She has said she doesn't NEED Madonna's support and hopes to be a sucessfull actress unlike Madonna and dissed her for miming atthe vma's She said in Glamour Mariah has great voice but could not be cutting edge like her but least she tries unlike Celine and Whitney (the nerve of the bitch,Mariah should kick her ass) Christina the said to the The Face (like anyone cares) "Jennifer Love Hewitt wants a bunch of white boys I don't want," and noting "I would scare the sh** out of her if she came to one of my sleepovers" Then there's Pink "When has Pink not been copying me?"Some women...feel I'm just too much of a threat." there's one singer that does not seem to give a damn about what others do or say then it's got to be pink. i like her. love her actually. as for christina, she has no idea how she wants to portray herself. she's ever-changing her image. not just per record, but per video. who'd ever thought she would pull a mariah carey..? don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine

am I the only one who thinks that being "the next Madonna" isn't a big deal...and doesn't take much.
Madonna isn't really a great talent..she's just fuckin' smart. Don't get me wrong, I love Maddy but Christina sings better than Madonna so what are we talking about really. | |

I guess my point here was that the media and many others seem to portray Britney as being the Madonna of the millenium but she's so not--if you look at everything CHristina has done and is doing, she's the one that seems to mirror Madonna, even if she would loathe the thought--apparently its true Let the rain come down...17 days.... | |

i think christina has the rebellious streak that madonna had and britney lacks. but, in the end, i think britney has the marketing and pr savvy. yeah, she takes off her clothes (which she'll need to be very careful with...madonna was a good 8 years into her career before the sex fiasco) but she has good producers and fun songs. christina can sing much better but, let's face it, madonna was never a great singer. though, this could be the cyndi lauper-madonna thing all over again. maybe britney will fade out and christina will shine on. who knows? i like britney more because she seems to be more fun. but, really, both are stank ass hoes. luckily for xtina, she has the voice to back her thang up. | |

I don't think either are the "next Madonna". With all the crap cluttering the airwaves, I've yet to see one than comes anywhere near Maddy for sheer stage presence. Sure, Madonna had all the controversy and what not, but she always had something else about her that kept people interested. NONE of these girls have that quality, which is why you already see their popularity starting to fade.

Neither one of these gals is the next Madonna.
Christina has good lungs, but that's all. Her attitude is crap, and her presence isn't sexy -- it's just back alley nasty. Britney, while she's cute, is about as smart as a box of hair. And because she can't sing, can only moderately dance, and couldn't be provocative if she married Satan, she's gonna have to start showing some R- or X-rated skin to make us keep watching. I don't think she's got the backbone or the credibility for that. The next Madonna is yet to be seen. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

It was VERY obvious during their VMA performance who the queen was. When she came out, the crowd went nuts. And she took it in. You could see her almost break a smile, and I was sooo happy for her. She's the OG, ya know? | |

i honestly don't think she's the next Madonna... Madonna was so much smarter about her image and how she's changed it over the years. Christina's changed too much too fast. She definitely seems to be on a crash and burn course. I think she's the next Mariah. Starting a couple years before Mariah's breakdown (mental and commercial), she was giving interviews like Christina's giving, with similar bitchy comments and out of her mind statements. Christina can sing, makes great albums, struggles with image, and makes bitchy (and sometimes true) comment because of either a HUGE ego, jealously, or both. She does have staying power though. Britney is a puppet with absolutely no mind of her own who can make an enjoyable pop/dance album. Once she's thirty she'll be gone, trust me. Madonna is well, Madonna. There'll never be another Madonna. As far as the whole Cyndi Lauper thing, she didn't last (commercially) because she was too cought up in the whole dingy persona, it got old, real old, real fast.
