lauryn hill 2.0

my player is on random and rebel (from the unplugged cd) just came on. i just don't care what anybody says, that cd is great. very to the point. no gimmicks. no enhanced production. no samples. just a woman, her guitar and her voice. all of which were not perfect. fantastic!

Miseducation - was THE album when it came out
She could have gone the Alicia Keys route
but instead gave us Unplugged and a Sermon
she needs to give clef and pras call and give us a new fugees album

.

i think the 2nd cd was important for her. i think it was quite an intelligent collection. the songs were obviously demos and she was being pushed to by her record company to do something, anything. that's what they got. i think they were sorry they pushed her to do it. she wasn't frontin' on that cd. that was exactly what she was feeling. you can't ask an artist for anything more.

Maybe she's one of those people who got what she wanted but then realized what she got wasnt what she needed...

That may sound loonily elliptical but it happens to alot of people...fame is rarely all its cracked up to be.

been acesesible and making music people want to hear doesn't make you sell out, She could have at least made something audible and had some musical element, instead of her strumming on that out of tune guitar??
Unplugged 2.0 was like watching William Shatner singing "rocket man" on the sci - fi awards show
it was jus

I like the 'Unplugged' CD.There are some really, really amazing moments on this album.I especially love the track where Lauryn starts sobbing at the end (can't remember the name),but that song gives me chills.

Hopefully,we will get a new CD in 2004.But I get the feeling that music is no longer a priority in her life.

Lauryn is an extremely talented artist and I loved her work with the Fugees and her own solo work too, but unfortunately she has some religious guru telling her how it should be and how she should live her life and we all know what that can do to a person confuse I don't think her choice of men has helped her either. I hope she gets back to making great music again!

hey, if her happiness lies in a guru's teachings, who cares. we have a nasty tendency to judge another's happiness on the criteria or our own. happiness is happiness. its not like she's doped up. she just has a belief that makes her happy.

Well, we're all entitled to our opinions and this is mine concerning Lauryn.

Latest is she's back in the studio with Wyclef doing another Fugees album. Another solo album will follow after that.

Yep, it's true. I work for a media company and it's come through one of our music sections.

I thought Lauryn couldn't stand Wyclef?! And not too long ago,Wyclef made some less-than-flattering remarks about Pras.Did they really patch up their differences?

I don't know if I believe this. I saw Wyclef on tv the other night talking about his latest cd and he never mentioned a thing about getting together with Lauryn. If it is true, I think he would've mentioned it. I guess time will tell though.

I never bought this CD and kind of wish I had. I think the problem is that people heard all the wrong things about it. It's a live, unplugged, aoustic set of all new really deep songs. And a double CD! Now if it were a studio album, it definately would have sold a lot more. Guess we'll never know.
