New OutKast DVD realeased on December 16 Superstar rap duo OutKast has readied a video hits compilation for release Dec. 16 on Arista. The DVD, "OutKast: The Videos," compiles clips from throughout the group's decade-long career.
The compilation will feature 10 videos in total: "Player's Ball," "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik," "Elevators (Me & You)," "ATLiens," "B.O.B.," "Ms. Jackson," "So Fresh, So Clean," "The Whole World," "Hey Ya!" and "The Way You Move." Bryan Barber directed the latter three clips, F. Gary Gray directed "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik" and "Ms. Jackson." Also directing two OutKast included videos were Dave Meyers ("B.O.B.," "So Fresh, So Clean") and Michael Martin ("Elevators," "ATLiens"). Sean "Puffy" Combs helmed the video for the group's first single, "Player's Ball." Absent from "OutKast: The Videos" is a 1998 clip for the single "Rosa Parks." The band was sued by the song's civil rights leader namesake in 1999, but a federal judge later tossed out the suit, citing first amendment rights. Parks had sought $25,000 and to have her name removed from all OutKast products. The compilation will include a "long version" of "Hey Ya!" and "The Way You Move" that incorporates both clips, followed by the separate single versions. Both tracks are culled from the group's double-disc split album "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," which is No. 10 in its ninth week on The Billboard 200, and has sold 1.8 million copies in the U.S. "Hey Ya!," from Andre 3000's disc, is currently No. 2 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart, while the Big Boi-led cut "The Way You Move" featuring Sleepy Brown is No. 4.

Ten only? Early videos like Jazzy Belle are missing. I guess ten is better than nothing.
