Got a favorite metal/hard rock song?

I just heard "Welcome to the Jungle" on the Awesome 80's II station at radio@netscape.com.

I'm not really into metal/hard rock but every now and again such a song will slip under my old school/R&B radar. smile But, this song kicks ass. headbang I actually bought Guns & Roses "Appetite For Destruction!"

I like me a lot of Guns N Roses (e.g. "Pretty Tied Up"), and older Def Leppard ("Rock Rock Til Ya Drop"). Oh yeah, and Aerosmith still rocks.

My favorite GnR song is "Mr. Brownstone"...

But, I'm glad you differentiated between metal and hard rock. Because there IS a difference.

Some of my faves:

"Love Is Like Oxygen"/Sweet
"Fuel"/Metallica
"Shy Boy"/David Lee Roth
"Hot Child In The City"/Nick Gilder
"Mine All Mine"/Van Halen
"London Calling"/The Clash
"Suffragette City"/David Bowie
"Walk This Way", "Train Kept A Rollin'", "Sweet Emotion"/Aerosmith
"Billion Dollar Babies"/Alice Cooper
"Won't Get Fooled Again", "The Real Me""/The Who
"Burning Sky"/Bad Company
"Funk #49"/James Gang
"Type"/Living Colour
"Manic Mechanic"/ZZ Top
"Cinnamon Girl"/Neil Young

Almost anything by Funkadelic, Led Zeppelin, Heart, The Ramones and Hendrix.

when i was a kid, i was so into hard rock and metal. i listened to everything from poison to slayer. usually, though, i had guns n'roses or metallica or motley crue on. i don't know what my favorite song would be but the band would definitely be motley crue.

on second thought edit & how many edits can i have on a post so short?! edit

Vibrator

Not sure if it qualifies as hard rock, but right now I´m listening to:

Filter - My Long Walk to Jail

It kicks ass and is actually pretty funky, especially at the beginning.

Breed -- Nirvana. Absolutely the best rock song I've heard in last 15 years, at least.

Anything that has one Mr Grohl on it tends to be quite good. Josh Homme is also a talented individual - check out the It cover, quite splendid.

Of course, the best metal song...well I say metal, I mean rock, is Tribute, by Tenacious D.
