I just read something at a forum at http://www.toriamos.com ,that I'm not sure I believe.
The thread stated that Tori will appear on a song called Calm with PRINCE!!
Now,I was thinking the other day that P would probably have a problem with Tori because she doesn't seem too keen on organized religion(one of the many things I love about her),and he is of course a JW.
And I just assumed that because Tori has said things in songs and interviews about religion that P would not approve of,and uses profanity, that P would be put off by that and would let these things keep him from being a fan of hers, and definitely wouldn't want to work with her.
That's why I don't believe it.

Unless he's going to try to convert her...

I'm so confused.

This is wonderful. But also very hard to believe. Remember when Prince was supposed to be working with Bjork, Lauryn Hill, Missy, Beyonce. None of it ever materialized. And if Prince would overlook her talent because of his religious politics, then he's an idiot.

Comparing Aphex Twin to Bjork is blasphemy.

You're right! He's shit in comparison.[/quote]

Give me a fucking break!! Bjork has NEVER done anything groundbreaking in music. Richard D James basically gave birth to techno

Have you ever heard Post, Homogenic or Vespertine? If they're not groundbreaking, I don't know what is.

And I was just kidding about Aphex Twin. I have 5 of his albums and think he's great.

And again, I can understand not liking Bjork, Tori or PJ's voices, but to say they're shit is just wrong. They're undeniably talented.

Of course I've heard Bjork's best work. I don't find her music refreshing at all. Her voice reminds me of finger nails across a black board. Her music fits right in with the respective trends of their time. I tired of her way back when the Sugarcubes were still together.

Bjork's finest moment was probably the swan gown.

I was just fantasizing the other day about Bjork, Tori and PJ. You know how they had that cover together in '94. I was thinking about how awesome it would be if they put out an EP together. 4 songs - 3 songs with solo vocals from each and one with them all together. One can dream right?

Thats not all you ladies have in common. You all suck!!

listen, little mr. i'm-in-a-band-and-live-in-canada, its all good that you don't recognize all decent music. its all good that we have different opinions, it makes the world more green. but this 'you all suck' horseshit...well, its got to stop. i would hate to have to break my foot off in yo' ass lol

if you are in a band an can't respect the writing abilities of these three women, than i'd truly fear listening to anything you've written. if you've written anything.

oh wait, you're in a cover band, aren't you?

Oh yeah. She sounds so much like everything that's on the radio and in the clubs.

Not unique whatsoever. rolleyes

This is a fair challenge Garnis ~ we would love to hear your music and give honest critique on it. You will find that many of the people here are (unlike you) very open minded, diverse and sophisticated in their musical appreciation.

Sooo, Soundclick is free and there are tons of artist from Prince.org on it. http://www.prince.org/msg/15/71060

The point is, everyone has different taste. Put yourself out there and welcome the criticisms you put out.

Soundclick is free and you there is no limit to how many mp3s you can upload, plus the individual mp3 upload limit is 10Mb per track! Go for it!

Thanks for the info on soundclick. I'll rip new mp3s so they fit and post a new thread when they are up. That way we can all rip my shit to pieces together.
