For those of you wondering if it's worth getting.

Tales of a Librarian: A Tori Amos Collection is not only one of the most intriguing titles for a hits compilation, but the package itself captures only the best from Amos' years spent with Atlantic. As solid, interesting, and moving as anything she'd released since her 1992 debut, Little Earthquakes, Tales of a Librarian is an autobiographical account of Amos' life as a woman in a complex world, and her songs sift through various emotions and spirits. Regardless of what barrier she faced, she never compromised herself as an individual. Her fans know this, and the quirky arrangement of Tales of a Librarian reflects this and more. Her usual approach of having a story within a story is here, but like the title suggests, Amos organizes her classic singles as a bookshelf ready for research and examination. Each song is remastered and arranged according to era, and the production itself offers new breadth and breath to Amos' work as a whole. Instead of the Boys for Pele version, Armand van Helden's dance remix of "Professional Widow" is included instead. "Bliss," from Amos' To Venus and Back double album, gets a crystallized lift in the studio, while two new songs are introduced for the first time: "Snow Cherries From France" and "Angels." They represent Amos' constant search for truth while witnessing various personal transformations. Now normally I don't get excited about a greatest hits collection, but this one is something special.

This is a wonderful collection ~ I've listened to it over and over ~ it seems like a work on it's own rather than listening to a compilation of remixes. Thanks for the review!

Its her voice. I can manage a little PJ Harvey from time to time, but I can't stand Bjork or Tori's voices. Comparing Aphex Twin to Bjork is blasphemy. I gotta admit though, there aren't too many female singers I can tolerate. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Beth Gibson (not the Rustin Man shite either)

I just read something at a forum at http://www.toriamos.com ,that I'm not sure I believe.
The thread stated that Tori will appear on a song called Calm with PRINCE!!
Now,I was thinking the other day that P would probably have a problem with Tori because she doesn't seem too keen on organized religion(one of the many things I love about her),and he is of course a JW.
And I just assumed that because Tori has said things in songs and interviews about religion that P would not approve of,and uses profanity,that P would be put off by that and would let these things keep him from being a fan of hers,and definitely wouldn't want to work with her.
That's why I don't believe it.


Unless he's going to try to convert her...
