Seeing Bjork perform Pluto live was an experience I'll never forget and very difficult to describe. As TRON said, the angle we were standing made it difficult to see the videos but the few glimpses we had were fuel for the live sounds coming from the stage. The otherwordly energy filling the venue reached such a frenzied crescendo that it was nearly unbearable but I didn't want it to stop. There was a feeling of explosive, orgasmic purging of all the toxins and inhibitions I had been guarding for years. It was incredibly intense, cathartic and exhausting when it was over, but energizing at the same time. I wanted to sleep in a fetal postion for 67 hours but ended up talking on the entire drive home. I've been to over 200 concerts and cannot remember being affected in such an extreme way. Bjork always leaves me stunned and seeing her live is just unbelievable. I think the entire concert, the venue (on an island in Toronto) and the person I was with made it one of the most memorable of my life.

It was the best. Just when I think she can't top herself, she does. It's funny cuz Vespertine is my favorite album but they were probably the least exciting and memorable of the shows I've seen. It was wonderful to see hear her with such great acoustics, but her music is meant to move to. I suppose it was the best album for that kind of setting because of the slow tempo and subtle soundscapes. But seeing her in a club and especially on that island is transcendent. It makes you want to dance, scream, laugh, cry and fuck all at the same time. She left me speechless last time. That said, of all the discs of the live box set, the Vespertine one is the best.

I agree with you about Vespertine. The show was ethereal and complete magic but I had a terrible time sitting still in such a formal venue. It was kinda like when I saw Prince at the Detroit Opera House for ONA and the security kept telling us we were in an Opera House and we had to remain seated. How can you POSSIBLY stay seated during a Prince show for God's sake??? I love Vespertine too ~ it's just the huge emotional attachment I have with Headphones ~ ya know??? That colors things to such a high degree for me ~ but Vespertine ~ I don't think there are words to describe it. You did it nicely once in a post. I'll have to try to find it because it was just too beautiful. YES ~ that show did " makes you want to dance, scream, laugh, cry and fuck all at the same time. She left me speechless !!!" Very well stated!!!
