Clips from unreleased Bjork videos Lynn Fox, who directed Bjork's "Nature Is Ancient" video also created some films for her recent tour. There are unreleased videos for "Pluto", "Unravel", "Nameless", "Desired Constellation" and "It's In Our Hands" (Soft Pink Truth mix). The style is very organic and shocking. "Pluto" contains a naked man masturbating at superhuman speed with his head exploding during climax. "Unravel" has the devil stealing Bjork's heartstrings and weaving them into a ball. "Desired Constellation" shows these primordial seal/hand creatures swimming through stars. I got to attend one of the concerts that these films were included in, but because of the angle I was watching from, I couldn't see them. The clips here are short and take awhile to load, but are worth the wait. I really hope they get released someday.

Watched the It's In Our Hands (Soft Pink Truth Remix) video - might I say that is an incredibly terrible remix of the song. Unnecessary, inferior, repetitive and way overdone, like the Army of Me remix on Telegram. Video was again very disturbing - all these drawings of penises and people jacking off over stock photos. | |

Seeing Bjork perform Pluto live was an experience I'll never forget and very difficult to describe. As TRON said, the angle we were standing made it difficult to see the videos but the few glimpses we had were fuel for the live sounds coming from the stage. The otherwordly energy filling the venue reached such a frenzied crescendo that it was nearly unbearable but I didn't want it to stop. There was a feeling of explosive, orgasmic purging of all the toxins and inhibitions I had been guarding for years. It was incredibly intense, cathartic and exhausting when it was over, but energizing at the same time. I wanted to sleep in a fetal postion for 67 hours but ended up talking on the entire drive home. I've been to over 200 concerts and cannot remember being affected in such an extreme way. Bjork always leaves me stunned and seeing her live is just unbelievable. I think the entire concert, the venue (on an island in Toronto) and the person I was with made it one of the most memorable of my life. | |

Wow, you really make me wanna see her live. I can only imagine what it's like, but that was a pretty good description. When I see video concerts, I get pretty excited. Like the Reverb show and Vessel. I have to get more. I should have gone to see her in LA. I will not hesitate next time. | |

You'll be glad you did. As wonderful a musician as Prince is, he can't match the magic and emotion that Bjork puts into her shows. Nobody provides a total experience like Bjork. She's the single most important artist of her generation. | |

It was the best. Just when I think she can't top herself, she does. It's funny cuz Vespertine is my favorite album but they were probably the least exciting and memorable of the shows I've seen. It was wonderful to see hear her with such great acoustics, but her music is meant to move to. I suppose it was the best album for that kind of setting because of the slow tempo and subtle soundscapes. But seeing her in a club and especially on that island is transcendent. It makes you want to dance, scream, laugh, cry and fuck all at the same time. She left me speechless last time. That said, of all the discs of the live box set, the Vespertine one is the best. | |

Did you hear about that scam/scandal here in San Diego where this guy pretended to be a Bjork promoter and swindled all this money from fans and club owners? He said Bjork wanted to play a show here in a small club, they sold tickets and a few weeks before the show he ran off with the money. He claimed to have produced the Icelandic version of Homogenic or something like that. IT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST! I can't believe the club owners were sooo gullable but the guy was a really good con. The story is over here: http://www.signonsandiego...kscam.html Chico and I stood in line to get tickets and the guy had already skipped town. So they waited untill we were there for 2 hours and said it was "sold out". A few days later the whole story came out. People had driven down from Los Angeles to stand in line since 8am and at 9pm we got the news that tickets would not be sold that night. That's good. I remember talking to you during the summer when tickets were onsale. Too bad you couldn't make it. I would've loved to compare notes. I hope she comes around next year with a new album and new show. | |
