Did anyone watch the 46664 concert?

I saw it on VH1 and then MTV. What they showed seemed pretty good, but it seemed heavily edited down into a 2 hour thing. It was longer, right?

Brian May doesn't make a good front man. And ironically, Bono seemed like he was bored.

Eurythmics were cool though, and I did like the Bono/Beyonce duet.

Oh, and another thing... is that Annastacia (sp?) actually famous somewhere? Because I see her turning up all over the place... Dr. Pepper commercials, Elton Johnn concerts, international celebrity events... does she have fans? does she sell records? is there somewhere in the world where she's actually famous? confuse

Yes, I watched it too. It was quite moving and the performances were excellent. I think it was a 3 hour concert, so it was heavily edited. I'm not sure about Annastacia though. I've heard of her, but I'm not familiar with her work, although I did read somewhere that she had breast cancer last year and has since been treated for it.Nelson Mandela is a great man. I hope he lives for many years to come. He's 85 now, so who knows, but I hope he's here for a while because he's a true humanitarian.

That's why he wasn't one originally. confused

I still didn't see John Deacon (Queen's bassist). Was he there?

Yep, these things are always edited for tv broadcasts.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the vocal harmony was between Bono and Beyoncé.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I just saw the "American Prayer" snippet. Beyonce's voice sure has come a long way. I couldn't stand it when she first came out, but she really has matured. Wonder if she actually had any training?

Thats where I came in...Bono was singing someting and then they all did this American Prayer with Dave Stewart and Edge...yeah Beyonce sounded nice...I think she sounds good when shes understated and not so bombastic.
