CHIC's Tony Thompson, R.I.P. Nov. 13th, renal cell cancer.
HOLY CRAP I totally missed this! In case you didn't know, Tony Thompson played drums on the following albums: Madonna: Like A Virgin David Bowie: Let's Dance Power Station: Power Station ALL Chic records And worked with these artists: Thompson Twins Dianna Ross basically, the man was the KING of pop drums in the 80s. Bernard Edwards passed years ago. Now Tony is gone, and 2/3 of the band's core members. I love Chic. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes. | |
