CHRISTMAS AT GROUND ZERO (Weird Al Yankovich) and the Harry Simeone version of LITTLE DRUMMER BOY have always been my faves for Christmas. Could we get much diff'rent here? There is a version of the second song by Low that moves me . . . and the Prince howliday tune, o' course. Really been diggin' that Trans-Siberian Orchestra bit too, like everybody else - is it CHRISTMAS AT SARAJEVO? Like the Meat Loaf Christmas album or somethin'.

Gotta give Charlie Brown his props -

And the Grinch tune -

John Lennon -

And, while I generally detest country music, that song about the CHRISTMAS SHOES really got me when I heard it (feeling a bit sentimental, I'm afraid).

By the way, wasn't Jesus born in, like, October or something?

Mariah's "All I want For Christmas" smile
Wham "Last Christmas" smile
Band Aid "do they know its christmas" smile
Sinead O'Connor " Silent Night" smile
Dean Martin "Let It snow" smile

But the best ever???

It has to be...

Wizzard! "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday!"!!

I really, really HATE that song!!!
"...Mommy's really sick & I want her to look beautiful in case she meets Jesus tonight..." WAZZUPWITDAT!?!?!?!
Every time I hear it my eyes get teary...cry...sorry but it's just too damned SAD to be a X'Mas song.
That's why I'm not so fond of Another Lonely Christmas either.

I LOVE The Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack! Some of the best jazz, not even limited to Christmas music.

You're right. A major classic!

It was cool. And those falsetto's just couldn't get any higher. The song is 8:25. It's in 2 parts. (You know how groups did back in day with those extended versions--like the Isley Bros.) After hearing it instead of putting me in the mood for more X-mas songs I just had to hear "Skin Tight!" smile

Yeah, that's my favorite X-mas song. Chuck and Vince's "Christmas Time is Here" is a close second.

I love the entire Charlie Brown Christmas album ( I occasionally listen to it throughout the year). That Temptations Christmas album is also good. music

Can't forget Eartha either: Santa Baby is classic.

Has anybody here heard George Winston's 'December'? It's an instrumental piano album that's inspired all the way through.
