KEEPING FUNK ALIVE

I'm trying to find out about new funk bands, can anyone give me their faves besides the obvious ones?
The ones that i can't stop listening to are;

1. 'The terra p-funk from beyond space' by gotcha
2. 'Fast food funkateers' by Slapbak
3. 'Nutmeg sez bozo the town' by Weapon of choice

Trust me you'll need two copies of each because you will wear them out!

If anyone caught Jay Leno last night, they would've been dazzled by this cooler than cool group that's been under the radar of late: Robert Randolph & the Family Band.

They cook up a nice stew of Funk, Soul, Rock, Blues, Gospel, and whatever else they can do to create the new dance of the millenium. They're also a great live act even if you've only caught them on T.V. Also, lead singer Randolph might be considered the Jimi Hendrix of slide guitar. He tears it up on that thing. Fucking amazing! Check these guys out. Their latest album is called "Unclassified".

Oh, also, before I forget, there's this awesome spanish rock/funk/dance band from Venezuela called Los Amigos Invisibles. I saw them live twice and they are guaranteed to get the asses shakin'!!! big grin They're on my other idol, David Byrne's world music label, Luaka Bop. Check 'em out.

I just some samples of these guys. They hold the funk down, fa shizzle. They got the grooves to make you move.
