2003 Grammies Any predictions or Hopes...... Well the Grammies are sometimes tough to predict, unless Dylan has something out. But I think this year some of the favorites to get nods will be Beyonce, Aguilera, Outkast, Lennox, Sting (as usual), Seal (a favorite for years),Fleetwood Mac. Anybody else have any predictions or thoughts on this subject?? I have a few personal faves that hope will happen
Joss Stone nominated for Best New Artist MYA nominated for Best RB album Annie Lennox nominated for Best Album And Please GOD dont let this turn into the BEYONCE show, many artists had better recordings, just look around harder. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Outkast for sure.
I really hope for Ryan Adams for 'Love Is Hell pt. 1 & 2'!

Annie Lennox, Outkast. That's really all I can think of at the moment. Mya deserves some recognition, too. I don't think Joss Stone deserves a BNA nom though. But then, if I had to pick her or Hilary Duff, Joss it would be.

Yeah Hilary Duff! Why not her? I hope Fleetwood Mac and Coldplay. Oh yeah, forgot about them somehow...especially Coldplay. I really really really hope Annie gets multiple noms though. Bare was the standout album for me this year.

I doubt that the Grammy's will suck. And I doubt that it will be deemed the Beyonce' show either. But I do know that she will steal the show with just her performance!

Coldplay will definitely be nominated and will probably take home a few too and IMO they deserve it!

I have feeling that "record of the year" will be between Beautiful - Christina Aguliera , Crazy in love - Beyonce and Where's the love predictable choices
I obviously hope Mariah gets a look in and THICKE I think Madonna and American Life will either get a lot of nominations or completely no look in [This message was edited Wed Dec 3 9:46:15 PST 2003 by twink69]

I'd have to say that it was probably the best album of the year and I can't see it not getting at least a few nominations. Amazing album in a year when music was very iffy.

WAS THERE ANY BREAKOUT NEW ARTIST THIS YEAR?
Do you think 50 cent will clean up?

Do you think 50 cent will clean up? God, I hope not. I just didn't understand the fascination with him. Everything he did has been done before...and better.

I have feeling that Christina Aguilera may clean up with "Stripped" and "Beautifull" or get no recognition
they love it or hate it (just like her) She was not nominated for any Billboard awards or AMA'S even thoughshe sold more albums then say AALIYAH WHO WON BEST FEMALE Maybe she has made to many enemies? Even worse what JUSTIFIED WINS BEST ALBUM?? I hope Mariah and Busta win an awards for "I know what you want" or "Charmbracelet" best female R&B or POP vocals ? maybe Ashanti won last year . That was a solid groove and one of the bright spots of the year. Mariah has almost no chance of a solo grammy nom, unfortunately...despite the fact that Charmbracelet was a really solid piece of work that I still listen to more than I do most of the trash that came out this year.

Man, if Outkast doesn't win anything, I will come to the conclusion that the future of music is HOPELESS! NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I hope folks like Dwele and Vivian Green get noms in the R&B category. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

N.E.W.S. will definitely get a rock instrumental nomination.

I predict that some sucky act will win an award or two, and lots of deserving artists will be ignored. It will be craptacular! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Yeah Vivian Green, I liked her album it wasn't fantastic but really smooth, I loved that "sitting by the phone song"
I have feeling Outkast will be the big winners or Les Nubian? maybe Floetry? . [This message was edited Wed Dec 3 15:39:50 PST 2003 by twink69]

N.E.W.S. made the submission list, but I don't know if it'll get a nomination. I voted for it, though.

Well, I think Christina was robbed for AMAs. Stripped is an awesome album; one of the best of the year. I think that it should definitely get some of the nominations and wins it deserves.
Coldplay deserves many nominations. Monica's album is underrated and deserves Best R&B.

And we can't forget Outkast.

I'm thinking Vivian Green or Floetry for best r&b
anyone but Ashanti, can you believe they gave her grammy for best r&b vocals last year?? it's like 1989 and Milli Vanilli all over again
