Should have known it was from an old jam. Sounded too soulful to be written in 2003. Bringing Together Five Decades of R&B/Funk/Soul/Dance

So, is it worth hearing, fellow Harlemite? Or has she suffered the sophomore junx like so many other great artists? NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

If you saw my profile I also said that I appreciate music of all forms. Besides, we gotta represent for this Harlem talent. (I'm from NYC too ) Although I think she's a bit overrated, I was feeling this new single out now and that's kinda drawing me in to the new album. And still India.Arie gets no love By the way, do you know that the video was filmed at Pan-Pan on 135th & Lenox? NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

"Rather have The "Dairy" of Alicia's mulatto tits..." ...you know, i dont claim to know everything but if are you referring to her melanin or pigmentation of her breast, you should of spelled "mulatto"_ "melano"! i just looked at yer profile, "intellegent thoughts"...thats cute! men, Yea and I heard her dad was "colored" Crap! her dad should have taken the crayon away from the kid that did that to him! I guess some people missed the point but the last time I heard a mixed person refered to as "mulatto" was when black folks were called "colored" Well, it was the way you phrased it that might've pissed some of us off, not only was it the word "colored" that you used, but also the of her father being colored/black. It was obvious (I guess to MOST of us) sarcasm regarding the term "mulatto" since, as he said, the last time "colored" was used like that, so was "mulatto"! Well as someone with kids who could be called "mulatto" I just don't like the term. I think it’s a bit dated if you ask me but other than that I'm not calling anyone racist for using it. As for Origmnd telling me to "F myself" Dude please don't play yourself like that. If you knew me you would never say that do my face so don't be an internet weasel and pop off in cyberspace. You're better than that. I was being to the point ...since U obviously overstepped your thoughts by not using them. I wouldn't have HAD to say that to your face as U wouldn't have incorrectly misjudged me if we did.

That's exactly what I was thinking I heard "You Don't Know My Name" several weeks ago for the first time, and I just KNEW it was taken from an old song but I didn't know exactly what song.It drove me crazy because I usually know where old R&B samples come from...lol... Nowadays, when you hear a new R&B song that sounds halfway decent,it's ususally taken from an old song anyway.
