I saw it. I have never seen Kraftwerk live before. It was underwhelming. The music sounded great, of course, but basically, they just stood there with their equipment.

Yeah that's them alright. You're lucky though, it could have been one of their many performances where robots and mannequins stand in their places.. you got to see the real deal!!!

Their last studio album was in 1986. Technology has caught up with them but check out any of their works from the 70's. And the classic "Computer World" LP. These cats were decades ahead of their time.

I just learned of this new release last night at Tower. It's called Tour de France Soundtracks and it's available on Astralwerks here in the states. I've seen it before but I was put off 'cuz it has the same cover as the Tour de France 12" release from '83. The mag that tipped me off also wrote that they will tour heavily to promote the release dancing jig

Okay so you may already know of their site but I just learned of it yesterday as well. Check it out at http://www.kraftwerk.com/. It serves! I especially like the Numbers soundbytes and like their music, the site has a very clean, industrial feel. You can preview Tour De France Soundtracks and it has some very, very cool cuts.
Check out Aero Dynamik/Titanium.

yeah i felt the same way after waiting for the new album for two years which was due after 'expo2000', then 'tour de france' was re-released with some shitty house mixes and the new album with the same sleeve? it's not amazing but but there's a soundscape feeling about, worth a listen
