I used to be into rap. All those artists turned to shit..so it's no loss. Make way for Ja Rule, 50 cent, Nelly, and P-Diddy! =D

To me Rap is like the News or Reporting.. but not music! I mean after a few years are all these albums really classics (lately) since the boom in the music industry pushing it?

I dont know I can't see listening to these albums like they are classics or actual musicans? Sure there is a handful.. usually whenever a change in style there is a few in that time period that are great..

BUT the problem is after one guys does that style.. there is a flooding of the market that ruins it.. There is NO Quality Control!

One guy thinks of a rap flow.. (tons of less talented guys steal it)

One guy does a different type of vide.. ( samething here)

** OR if your really lazy you go with the "generic rap video" concept which is done 90% of the time

Silly rabbits. Hip hop isn't going ANYWHERE! Why are people so obsessed with destroying rap? lol Is it because you can't control it? I don't care much for country music, but I never hope that Alan Jackson's plane crashes or hope for Faith Hill to announce her retirement. I simply DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. What a concept, eh? Try it.
Hope for the music industry is in the hands of the people. If you all would wake up, stop being sheep and buying whatever's put before you just because there's a cool video to it then maybe things would change. BE SELECTIVE. THAT would be "hope for the industry". Stop trying to blame a culture on the wrong deeds of five company heads. The majors are what's wrong with the music biz. BIG BUSINESS.
p.s. Retirement is sometimes used as a marketing ploy so that an artist can sell more records.

If Rae Kwon would put out another album like "Only Built for Cuban Linx" I wouldnt care if hip hop died forever.

That is the greatest hip hop album of all time and if Wu Tang is saying farewell I hope that means more Rae Kwon and Ghostface.
