Jermaine already said it...

"At the end of the day, this is nothing but a modern-day lynching.”

Michael has already posted his bail.

The only guy standing a chance playing the race card here is Kobe.

R 'Luckily It Was A Girl' Kelly is clear to me (as i've seen the video): guilty as charged.

Kobe seems the classic 'she was interested but mayb didn't want to go all the way, at least not in retrospect' case. It will b a judgement call, and race could b a factor.

As 4 MJ, we know very little so far. Given all the statements the child and the parents have made in the past, the video tapings that exist of these statements, the DA's strange behaviour and the pretty combatant statements MJ is making, my guess is that without any hard, fysical evidence he will walk. With what we have now, my opinion is that he's innocent. Race won't b a major factor. Everybody seems to dislike the guy for one reason or another these days, b it race or anything else.

Of course u cant tell from the picture, but it looks like MJ is takin it well so far and can't way to kick the accuser's asses. Well, if he's innocent, i damn well hope he hangs in there and gives them one helluva day in court. First court date is January 7th btw.

dude, that statement makes no sense. I understand that you have a problem with Christianity, but let's not confuse it with the Nazis, ok?

In Galveston, Tx, millionaire Robert Durst, I believe his first name is Robert, was acquitted for murder. He claimed
it was self defense. Durst then proceeded to dismember his body and hid his head. Now what does this case have to do wtih, Kobe, M.J, and Kelly?

Money and plenty of it. The judicial systems understands one color, green.

AngieJ gathered some reactions from other celebrities so far. I think it's great some are speaking out so vividly in favor of him:

Here are quotes from an award show in L.A. the other day:

LL Cool J:
At the end of the day it's about evidence
Where's the evidence?
Yeah I know he got plastic surgery, I know he may not be what you consider to be the guy next door, but where's the evidence?
I'm a fan and I support him a hundred zillion %!
Until I see evidence I am not going to be convinced
I'm not gonna be brainwashed. You know what I mean?

Ludacris:
I just say, may God be with him
I don't know all the facts, and I hate to judge anybody with not enough information.
All I can say this is the trials and tribulations of life, and hopefully he'll make it through this and stay strong

Alicia Keys:
I fell offended for him, you know what I mean?
I feel offended that the media is handeling a man that has been a major force in American culture since the day that he was born virtually, you know what I mean
I think he deserves much more respect than he's getting right now.
So I really hope that all of this kind of settles over, and I hope the truth comes to light. I believe the truth is going to come to light

(Thanks, Marksap)
___

CNN Headline News also showed Missy Elliot and P. Diddy defending him. (Sorry, she didn't say what they said)

(Thanks, Abernathy)
___

Missy Elliot was interviewed last night I believe and she said something about being 'very angry' and that she might end up in jail herself trying to defend Michael (not a direct quote)! GO MISSY!!!

I just turned on CNN and Rick James was defending MJ! It was great! He brought up some excellent points. He asked why Elvis wasn't arrested for pedophelia, afterall, he went after Priscilla when she was only 14 years old!!! WOW - GO RICK! He said that Michael loves children and there's nothing sexual about any of it. I'm not a big fan of Rick James but it was sure great to see him supporting our Michael and the Jackson family! Huge thumbs up for him!

(Thanks, MJen)
___

At the Vh1 Big i '03 awards, Vivica A. Fox said that Michael is a WONDERUL man and the media is trying to Tarnish his name!

(Thanks, MJ's Chitown Boo)

___

didnt see it myself, but my dad said he just saw phil collins on channel 4, defendin mike and saying hes been to neverland and never saw anything wrong!!

(Thanks, designated fool)

___

And someone said Rush Limbaugh supported MJ on his website.
"It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

The "race card" has already been played in the Kobe case, since the bigots have been out in full force in Eagle County Colorado distributing fliers saying "don't have sex with blacks" - and admitting it's about Bryant, and the Sherrif's department ordered a batch of t-shirts saying "I'm not a rapist, I'm just a cheater" along with a stick figure of a man HANGING.

The phrase "race card" is just a way for many people to minimize real issues that OBVIOUSLY still exist. In those cases the defendent will play the deck that's delt to him or her. Deal with it.

lovebizzare

well the people who look at this as some sort of lynching are idioits, idiots can't be helped.
Therefore I'd LOVE to hear Tom Joyner's thoughts on this.
These three happen to be black but the there are plent of whites "in trouble" as well I.E. Phil Spector, Scott Peterson, ect.

Race DOES NOT factor into the MJ and R Kelly situations. R Kelly is quility as hell, everyone knows, everyone would still agree if he's white. MJ has been accused of the same thing twice, paid the kid and his family 2 million dollars to keep it out of court last time, has said he has sleepovers with children, and viewed by tons of people as a "freak".

The only case the race might have a factor in is the Koybe case. It might turn into a "poor little white girl" thing. I don't believe he's quility of rape. In his case it sounds like the two just fooled around and, given what I've heard about the girl, she's trying to cash in. This case has the makings of a lifetime television movie.
