Just saw John Mayer live... AMAZING!

I don't know if anyone here is into his music at all, but either way I just had to share this info.

John Mayer is an amazing live performer. One thing the casual listener may not realize is that he has serious guitar skills. Skills which (like Prince) are not necessarily showcased on his "officially released" stuff (not even his DVD). This is something which I, myself, did not truly appreciate until earlier tonight.

Another thing is, he obviously pours his heart & soul into what he does. This is a rare quality. The guy is a true MUSICIAN. And he can write a damn good song. Expect him to be around for a long time.

Oh, you have an opinion about John Mayer's musicianship?

Which of his shows did you attend in order to arrive at this opinion?

To be honest with you I wouldn't attend any of his shows if you gave me free tickets. biggrin

I've seen some live footage of him, but I also have to say I changed the channel while he was playing.

He graduated from Berkeley or some prestigous music college right? So obviously he's no slouch, personally I'm not feeling any of his material, but that's just my twocents

Rock On playboy! and blast John till your speakers pop and your hearts content. Though He'll never get any play at Sin's crib. horns

Just thought I'd share a recent (and somewhat surprising) musical experience with my fellow orgers. But it's kool and the gang... I mean it would truly be a boring world if we all shared the same opinion.

For instance, it is my opinion that Buddy Holly should have left the jacket unbuttoned, and that the dude to his right might possibly be named "Goober" biggrin

John Mayer is cool. Thanks for sharing your excitement! I've heard he was very good live. And he is a very good songwriter.
