Can't wait. Once I'm done chatting it up here I'm going to pick it up although I won't have much time to pick it up as I have a big paper to do that I hardly have done any research on. Still can't wait. Heard some samples and it is good stuff!

We are going to have to force feed her (some food and prehaps some soul music).

BTW, I really don't like amazon's new thing with letting people rate the albums, videos, etc before they are offically out. And those reviews really suck since most one star reviews are never well written. They are just a few lines saying...Britney Sucks...Al Green is old. Way to review! That's why I gve it up!

Bought three new albums today and only have the time to listen to one. Guess which one I picked?

I wasn't around for Al Green's first wave of soul but am glad to be around for the return. Sounds amazing! For an older man he can still work that voice OK. You know, sometimes you can go back! I'm only on track 4 (probably don't have time to listen to the whole album) and am pretty impressed. I gotta get some more Al Green now! Where do I start!

easiest place to start it is with greatest hits collections...there have been a few different versions released over the years...but the ones I'm sure about are GH part 1 (brown cover with al on the front...classic classic al...his most famous stuff is on this one) and GH part 2 (blueish purple cover with all on the front...which includes his un-cover of the "BeeGees How Can You Mend A Broken Heart"...i say 'un-cover' because al doesn't really cover their tune...he makes it his OWN)...you get both of these collections and you are pretty much covered for most of his popular classics...

if you wanna go even deeper than that you can get into his individual albums of the 70's, many of which have recently been re-released...

but like i said the easiest place to start is with those Greatest Hit's collections...

I might have to check this out! Oh! And I love the old school look of the cover. thumbs up! I see that he's going to be at the Beacon Theater soon, too! Man, it would be nice to hear him do his old stuff with a live orchestra. smile
