Michael Jackson's house being searched?

CNN just reported that a search is being conducted of MJ's house as part of a criminal investigation.

They just said that he was not at home, and investigators are only saying it is "part of an ongoing investigation."

Stop worrying.

His managers just called them in after he freaked out after not finding his other white glove after many years of fruitless searching.

Oh Michael. sigh

I still wonder though... cuz it's such a weird coincidence with his record about to be released and a tv special planned for Nov. 26.

Back in the day everybody appreciated his talent. All he gets now is bad publicity, disgusting and foul lawsuits, and over exagerated surgery... I wonder, if he could have a new life without all of the fame and fortune would he take it..

Authorities search Michael Jackson's ranch
Tuesday, November 18, 2003 Posted: 1:30 PM EST (1830 GMT)

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Investigators from the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office and Sheriff's Department searched entertainer Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch on Wednesday as part of an "ongoing criminal investigation," a spokesman said.

The search warrant was served at 8:30 a.m. (11:30 a.m. ET), said Chris Pappas, a spokesman for the sheriff's department.

A source close to Jackson said the singer was not at or near the ranch, but was in the country. The execution of the search warrant came as a "total surprise," the source said.

No details were released about what sparked the criminal investigation.

If Michael turns out to be a pedophile with tons of evidence stacked against him, would it change how you feel about him? (How do you feel about him?) Would you feel sorry for him? And how would this affect your view about other pedophiles? Just for instance, let's say.

Why would MJ willingly choose publicity that paints him as a pedophile and child molester?

I seriously doubt that even a perverted, disturbed individual such as MJ would think that sordid publicity such as this is preferable to garnering attention for putting out new material.

If he merely was after cheap publicity just for attention's sake he could go adopt another kid or film another lame TV show of himself buying crap in Las Vegas.

Ever heard the quote "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"?

I still say if MJ was looking for free publicity to help increase sales of his greatest hits CD, even HE wouldn't be so retarded or deluded as to do it by getting the police to swarm his home and generate new rumors and speculation of pedophilia and his being a child molester.

MJ's record sales have been continually declining over the years and it's not wholly due to the quality of his recent output. A lot of it has to do with the public being disgusted by a sex pervert who likes to sleep with little boys and they just aren't buying his CDs anymore.

Do you really believe MJ, or anyone at his record company (who are all concerned with MAKING MONEY), would believe that a publicity stunt involving more pedophilia allegations would increase record sales or help his future career??

NEVERLAND raid!!!

Cops Searching Michael Jackson's Ranch
Tuesday, November 18, 2003

LOS OLIVOS, Calif. — Investigators armed with a search warrant are swarming Michael Jackson's (search) Neverland Ranch.

Court TV (search) reported that a 12-year-old boy brought allegations against the pop star. At least one ambulance was present Tuesday on the Neverland grounds.

Jackson is not currently at Neverland (search), but is in the country, Jackson's publicist Stuart Backerman told Fox News. Backerman was headed to the ranch and expected to have a statement later in the afternoon.

Authorities carried out the warrant at the 45-year-old singer's sprawling home in the Santa Ynez Valley outside of Santa Barbara, said a sheriff's spokesman, who declined to give his name. The Santa Barbara County district attorney's office was also involved in the action, he added.

The singer who had international hits with the albums "Thriller" (1982), "Bad" (1987) and "Dangerous" (1991), saw his career begin to collapse in 1993 amid allegations he molested a boy. Jackson has maintained his innocence, and charges were never filed. He reportedly paid a multimillion-dollar settlement.

Jackson is also connected to Hollywood private eye Anthony Pellicano, who began serving federal prison time Monday for possessing illegal explosives. Pellicano is being investigated about whether he secretly taped conversations of celebrities and their lawyers.

Pellicano, 59, worked for Jackson as a spokesman and security consultant during the abuse investigation.

The search came on the same day Epic Records released "Number Ones," a greatest hits collection featuring Jackson's new single, "One More Chance." On Nov. 26, CBS is scheduled to air a Jackson special consisting mainly of old concert footage.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

I tell you what, the best thing MJ can do is to fight this one tooth and nail, whether he's innocent or guilty. Another payoff will land him in the Money Talks hall of fame, next to OJ and that New York millionaire that cut up his neighbor.

Edit:

And, okay, one article has a point - WHAT PARENT would let their 12-yr-old boy go hang out with Michael?

I don't care if I was allowed to tag along, my answer would be OH HELL NAW. No. Nope. No thanks, can't do. Negative. Non-positive. HELL NAW.

maybe if something is found out TRUE about this boy hopefully there will be some vindication and justice for the others who only "settled" out of court. NO ONE SHOULD BE ABOVE THE LAW! ek!
