P!nk Try This

It looks like no1 has given their opinion about the album. Has anyone heard it? :I: really like it. Her hidden track is fun. :I: want 2 know if she has revealed who the songs r about, because :I: can think of 2 that could easily b directed at Britney Spears: the hidden track & Try Too Hard.

Trouble has really grown on me since :I: first heard it; :I: first heard it when I saw the video, & wasn't really that taken with it.
God is a DJ is a standout. Great music, poetic lyrics. Waiting For Love is one of those "this is where I am in my life" type songs for me.

The whole album just has such great energy. :I:'m really enjoying it.

TRON

I've had a promo of it for over 2 weeks now but haven't listened yet. I'm sure I'll get around to it someday, but I'm too wrapped up in other music right now.

I listened to the whole album on mtv.com and it's very good. I bought it today, and haven't listened to it on the stereo yet.

All of the songs are quite good, but the lead single "Trouble" is not very original. In fact, it sounds note for note, like she stole it from Smash Mouth's "Holiday in my Head". If you've never heard that song, download it, and you'll be surprised. Sounds exactly like "Trouble". Still "Try This" is a good album.

Oh My God (featuring Peachest) is Pink's hottest song yet. It's worth buying just for this one song...plus the others are pretty rockin', too.

I've listened to it.

I like the album. Very bad girl, rock-oriented fun. She has completely shedded her former R&B/rap image and has successfully turned into a rock chick. I'm saddened she has no noticeable rap/R&B numbers on here except for the slight R&B undertones in "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping," but I guess this is Pink's true voice we're hearing.

My standouts are:

  • Humble Neighborhoods - My favorite song on the whole album. I love the vibe of this track. I really dig the keyboards and acoustics on this one. The hook is wonderful.

  • Try Too Hard - She's really talking about somebody on this track. Could it be her contemporaries or herself? Also, "Hooker" is lyrically interesting, too. It makes me wonder if she's critiquing herself or the industry.

  • Catch Me While I'm Sleeping - The girl is singing on this track. I feel her vocals and I dig the groove of the song. Reminds me of "Let Me Let You Know" from her debut.

I'd love to hear this album live.

Go 'head, P!nk.
