Actually, there aren't too many remixes on there; like "Gambler (Soundtrack version)": well, where else would that person get it from but the Vision Quest soundtrack, y'know? The details tell you exactly what version they use when there are multiple versions available. And I think they chose the best ones! Miami Mix Edit, all the radio edits...

Speaking of "Gambler",I just realized that I don't even have that song, and I never bought the 'Vision Quest' soundtrack, although I do have it on video. So it would be cool having it as part of a box set.Curiously, this compilation doesn't include anything from 'American Life' but since there's already a remix EP on the way,it's not really crucial.

get the La Isla Bonita japaneses EP/maxi.

it's got La Isla Bonita extended and instrumental, Open Your Heart extended, and both Crazy For You and Gambler.

Check out another fan's ideas for the box set (posted at the "AbsoluteMadonna" fansite)...

smile so,what do you guys think? Probably too many remixes for my taste, but overall,it's an impressive list.

i don't like it all that much. seems to be no rhyme or reason to the songs that are grouped together by disc.

Yeah,I hear ya.On box sets,I prefer that the songs appear in chronological order,so that you can hear an artist's evolution over the course of their career. But I DO like the idea of a massive 5-CD set. That way, everything could be included.Madonna has had so many hits,it's almost absurd.I can even think of a few other songs that could have been included on this set...

***"I Want You" with Massive Attack (1995)
***"One More Chance" (1995)
***"Sidewalk Talk" Jellybean featuring Madonna (1985)

This looks pretty good,Aaron! Add another CD with rarities ("Revenge","Like A Flower","Cyberraga","Has To Be","Let Down Your Guard",etc) and you will have the ultimate Madonna box set.

Speaking of Maddy, yesterday at Tower Records I finally found the Special Edition of Q Magazine, focusing on Madonna's 20th Anniversary.Wow,what an issue!! The ENTIRE mag consists of articles/interviews from her whole career, and some of these articles are more insightful and revealing than ANYTHING I've ever read on her. There are loads of rare pictures, album reviews,etc...if you are a Madonna fan,you MUST pick up this magazine!!!

I also picked up the book "Mr.Peabody's Apples" lol

btw, did you see that Love Profusion has been removed from the upcoming maxi-single?

a pity. however, i can see the reasoning behind it. this EP and maxi is a last ditch effort to breath life into the AL project, and having all 3 songs they're promoting it with on the maxi doesn't give incentive to buy the EP or the album.

What is the deal with the maxi? Are there any links with tracklisting, relase date, pics? I know about the AL EP and even say the cover. In case anyone hasn't seen, here it is. Pretty cool.

I have/recommend this maxisingle too since I just wanted Madonna's 2 songs off of the soundtrack, and the La Isla Bonita instrumental my family used to have on 45.

the EP will chart on the albums chart, and the maxi will chart on the singles chart.

It's not vinyl sized, cassette sized, or cd sized.
I don't really understand where you would fold the cover you posted. Like, what scale will that font really be?
