I've listening to some of Raphael's samples on the net. He sounds really good! Can any orgers advise which of Rapheal's album's I should purchase?

I don't own any of his albums, but that song "Get Involved" is really good. I'll get back to you on this one.

Raphael Saadiq has really good material. I recommend picking up his old work with Tony Toni Tone, preferably "Sons of Soul" or "House of Music."

If you like his solo work, download "Ask Of You" from the Higher Learning soundtrack, or, if you're willing to shed the bucks pick up "Instant Vintage."

My favorite dance track by him is called "Get Involved" featuring Q-Tip. The song has a nice groove and you can feel it.

Depends on what you like. If you like more of the soul/hip hop thing, definitely get Instant Vintage. If you like more straight up soul, check out his Lucy Pearl project. If you dig more dance pop type stuff (although it is still pretty soulful) the Tony Toni Tone stuff is real good.

There's a greatest hits compilation for Tony Toni Tone. You may also want to check out his Lucy Pearl project which had a few slept on gems, as well as Instant Vintage.

He most recently released a live 2 cd set on his own label. Pookie Records.com that most people have been giving props to.

Saadiq has established himself as an impressive producer too. Stuff like Angie Stone's "Black Brotha," Bilal's "Soul Sistah," and D'Angelo's "Untitled (How Does It Feel?)" should also be part of any Saadiq collection to get a sense of his overall style.
