I liked their last album, but why are these dudes so mad? I mean aren't they livin' in mansions and shit and riding around in benzs' and bentleys? It's cool to come hard but these cats are in the stage of their career where they should be dropping true knowledge instead of the rules of "The Game". I understand being true to your roots and all, but what the fuck are they frowning about? They probably arrived to the picture shoot in a limo and went and had steak for dinner afterwards.

This is what I find frustrating about the rap industry and I know this debate is an old one, but it's time for this genre to evole rather than try and maintain it's street credibilty, they should be engineering the blueprint to escape the streets. Personally, I'm harder on rappers who came from the streets, then went platinum, then hollywood, but still try to hold on to a hardcore image. It make sense to have that mentality when you're hungry and you don't have shit, but to still maintain that attitude after you've become famous and made millions of dollars? Wft?
Well I have to listen to the alum first before I jumpt to any conclusions.

I think some folk just automatically see how they dress or look and think they probably live an undercover suave and boojwa life style behind the scenes and front a hard stance or look on camera

• If gangstas were so cool, why are the upwardly mobile blacks and latinos not wanting to live next to them and are constantly MOVING OUT of the inner city making the poverty and hopelessness even more concentrated in L.A.'s urban core, leading to hypersegregation?
  

When your relative is lying in the street with blood draining from his corpse, that's not cool. When someone is selling crack outside of your house to your kids, that's not cool. When you're scared to walk outside the house or have your kids play, that's not cool. When black men (and women) continually die in the streets and skip school to gangbang, die and be another statistic, that's not cool...and never will be.

There are reasons why gangs are formed or poverty exists in our country. Our same President who loves his land so dearly has shown that saving other countries is far more important than saving WATTS or Compton or any ghetto in the US. His papa, was the head of the CIA around the time the crack hit the streets in LA and if you think the gangs created it you should do a little bit of research and see the CIA was blamed directly for that disgusting drug killing so many of us off starting in the 80's and still to this day. I have seen more than a few of my friends pass on at very young ages as a direct result of rival street gangbangers. People should sometimes stop only looking through their own eyes and put themselves in others shoes. What I mean by this is if you are a youngster growing up in the ghetto are you going to relate more with the West Side Connection or Duran Duran.
