Madonna on Letterman Tuesday (11/11) CBS Late Show Press Release
Superstar Madonna makes her first visit to the Late Show with David Letterman in three years when she appears on the broadcast, Tuesday, Nov. 11 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The music icon will be promoting her second children's book, Mr. Peabody's Apples, a story about the power of words and the importance of teachers in everyone's lives, which hits bookstores on Monday (10). Madonna last appeared on the Late Show on Nov. 3, 2000, which had been her first sit-down interview with Letterman since her unforgettable appearance on the CBS late-night broadcast March 31, 1994. (She also made a brief cameo appearance Feb. 13, 1995, when she delivered Valentine's candy and flowers to Letterman. On Dec. 28, 1998, she appeared in a taped celebrity Top Ten List of the "Top Ten Things Beautiful Women Love About Dave.")

maybe this is why American Life and all of its singles have tanked in the US. because since about June every TV appearance she's done has been to promote a children's book, instead of her music.

sure it doesnt have to do with the fact that American Life and all of its singles...SUCKED? of course not, fool! great album. though until this latest multi-single promotion of Nothing Fails/Love Profusion/Nobody Knows Me, the singles selections have been, shall we say... lacking.

And why are all these singles, Eps coming out so close together when nothing is on radio or even video yet (or does she have a new video coming out)?

Her best zinger of the night was when Dave and his girlfriend went to PTA meetings before they had they kid. So she said "Oh, is she still in high school?" ZIng! And they said nohting about the non-existant "American Life" album or all of the new releases circled around it. [This message was edited Wed Nov 12 6:30:57 PST 2003 by VinnyM27]

'American Life' is old news and it's time to let that project rest in peace.Don't get me wrong,I love the CD,but I don't really see the point in continuing to promote it/talk about it.The singles/videos have been released, the album sold a respectable worldwide amount,so let's move on.I'm more interested in what Maddy has planned for the future.

Have you bought these books? I was tempted until I realized I can get the new Al Franken or Alan Colmes for only a few bucks more. I don't think she has to talk about the album but a preformance of "Nothing Fails" or one of the other singles would have been nice. And have all the singles been released? I still don't know the full story on the "Nothing Fails" single.

I still don't know the full story on the "Nothing Fails" single. Not only that, but it's timing. When you buy each book singularily, you're only gonna be more upset when they package all five of them in one box set at a great price. I'll wait for the box set... but I do like the books a lot. |
