A not so smart move by an otherwise smart lady?

i seen the video she dont look that old...but the song really is what i dont think is very impressive...

Here's my take...

I don't like Britney Spears and I didn't really like the idea of Madonna collaborating with her.Oh,"the kiss" was cool and all (from a public relations standpoint) but I wasn't interested in hearing a song with the two of them.So,I wasn't excited about this project.

But the other day I saw the video and I liked it.No,I'm not gonna go out and buy the song or Britney's CD...lol...but it's a fun,sexy video.It's better than I thought it would be.It'll be fun turning on MTV these next few months and seeing Madonna doing her thing,even if it's in somebody else's video...lol


So,no I don't think it's an unwise move by Madonna.It won't really affect her career either way.It's probably something she just did for the hell of it (like the 'Will and Grace' episode),something to tide her fans over until her next major project.

I wish Madge would stop all that crawling about on the floor while looking seductively at the camera. Still, she looks great in the video. I like the white outfit.

The song is as bit weird. It's got nice enough production and I'd definitely dance to it in a club or something. I think both of them sound awful on the record though.

do you think she would have done when her latest cd had not been such a bomb?

I observe both Britney and Madonna, but I do not go out and get their records since it is not the kind of music I like. I am interested in the marketing concepts that are behind these two women. I have the feeling that in this video Madonna is not the tough lady of sex that she always has been. This might be the first time.
I do think Madonna looks old and Britney steels the show in this video, I am not so sure if Madonna had foreseen this...

I like the song...until bingo-arms Madonna turns up and starts ruining it with her 'Hey Britney...' bollocks.

She's just trying to remain 'cool' and 'down with the kids', when she needs to start acting her age. Ray of Light proved that she can still be cutting edge, but I don't think that 'collaborating' with Britney helps either of them to be honest

If Madonna's collaborating with Britney as an attempt to stay "fresh", she's at least two years too late.

I really don't like the video. I think it would have been great to see them meet at the club and dance together (a la Michael and Janet in Scream). The dancers could have been in the background behind them but it would made it a lot more entertaining. Having Britney in one room and Mady in another just didn't work. Even when they are together in the bed frame scene it is so weak.

I think Madonna looks really good in this video. Certainly, she looks better than she did in that awful "Hollywood" video...

i think she looks sexier than most of the women in music videos today.

and she doesn't need to take her clothes off to pull it off. i'm so glad she finally realized that.

The only redeeming part of that movie is watching her get beat. I know, it's bad, but I enjoyed it.

In the video, I thought Madonna looked better than she has in a long time.

I love the video and I thought the concept of them sensing each other in separate rooms was unique and sensual. I loved them dancing on the wall which kept them separated.

In short, Madonna made the video for me. I'm still a huge fan.

Now, What I don't like is Britney. She's empty as an artist.

She is not the next coming of Madonna and I despise that Madonna keeps trying to endorse her and take advantage of her fandom by shoving Britney down our throats.

I get the impression Madonna thinks Britney is an incarnation of her spirit. Not so. Here's why:

1. Britney feigns sexuality, but she can't own it like Madonna. The poser breaks her own mirage by giggling and talking like a little girl. Hearing her speak makes me want to scream. Not only does she sound silly but she has a three-year old's vocabulary. She sounds like a valley girl stereotype. It's really sad. The girl is so immature, so it's basically sick for her to try to flaunt a sexuality she's hasn't legitimately grown into.


2. Britney has no thoughts. Now, neither she nor Madonna are great vocal stars. But Madonna had something to say in a unique, artistically provocative way. Her metaphors and juxtaposition of women's roles, religion, sexuality, and social politics in pop culture music was great. And she had a powerful independent spirit that came through in all her music. Britney is fucking made. A puppet. I keep waiting for a hand to come out from her ass. Britney doesn't say anything provocative or worthy of reflection. To quote the stupid bitch, "it's like,um, frickin' um.." Annoying!

3. Britney is not inventive. She'll never be able to chart her career through new, evolving phases (like Madonna did with ease) without help from Madonna and other sculptors. Madonna's creativity far surpasses this twit's. Is she doing anything new? She dances like Janet. Tries to mimick Madonna's sexual glory. It just ain't workin' and I'm tired of seeing this chick on T.V. next to an icon.

I thought Madonna looked awesome in the video...I do wish she'd get over the britney fixation, but I thought she looked great

You know what. It is working. because she's stealing all the tried and successful formulas and blending them together. It's hard for her not to be appealing. She's a polished amalgamation of all the things that came before her. And the lack of originality is despicable (but I could say that about a lot of current talents... too many to name).

I think that both Madonna and Britney look okay in the video and the video itself has some pretty good choreography but the song is terrible. I work at an animal hospital and when that song comes on the radio it actually disturbs the animals who are recovering from surgery and whatnot. I have to lower it down so they don't get all pissed off.

Yeah, Madonna is turning into an old hag, but it happens to the best of them. She had her turn being a young piece of ass and now she hat hit the wall. It will happen to Britney too in time. But they both have hundreds of millions of dollars, so I'm sure they can deal with it.

The song sucks..Britney sucks. Britney has nothing to say. If you look at Pink and Christina, their second cds showed that they want a voice. Britney just wants to grab Madonna's coat tails and say "look at me". She sucks.

Lookin' my daughters christmas list of music she wants...I don't see Britney ANYWHERE.

She still looks better than many 45 year olds but lets face it - the wrinkles have been showing for a while now. You can only hide behind lenses & filters for so long. Pretty soon we won't even be able to see her face in interviews b/c the lens will be so damn fuzzy
