Trevor Horn

I was a pretty big fan of Trevor Horn back in the 80's. It seemed like pretty much everything he touched was money:

ABC's 'The Lexicon of Love'
Frankie Goes To Hollywood
The Art of Noise
Grace Jones 'Slave To The Rhythm'
Propaganda

Now, I'm really not so interested in any of that Buggles shit or the stuff he produced for Yes, but I have heard that he produced and wrote for an artist named Anne Pigalle. Has anyone heard this stuff? If so, what did you think? And can anyone think of any other 80's era stuff that he did?

He has produced the new album from Belle & Sebastian ( don't know the title ). At a recent gig in LA they got him up on stage to perform Video Killed The Radio Star.

His early use of samplers made for some great break songs. I'm extremely partial to Art of Noise ("Beat Box"), and the hip-hop shit by Malcolm McLaren ("Buffalo Gals", "Do You Like Scratchin", "Hobo Scratch").

He produced "Owner of a Lonely Heart" by Yes which contains that awesome drum juggle break of Funk Inc.'s "Kool Is Back". That part has Trevor Horn written ALL over it, and it's my favorite moment of the song. His freaked horn stabs in the Yes tune was re-featured in LL Cool J's "That's A Lie" and Salt-N-Pepa's "I'll Take Your Man".

Last I heard he produced the very successful Tatu album.
