If U Live in the UK Please Please Please...

Buy the 2 CD Singles released by Matt Goss this week.
The song is called "I'm Coming With Ya" & each CD Single is only £1.99
HMV, Virgin, Woolworths & Asda are the best places to get them & try if you can to purchase them separately.
Matt Goss has had very little support from Radio & TV, something I know Prince fans can relate to & I just want to see Matt get a TOP 15 position so that he has a platform to build on.
If you can spare the time & money I know that Matt himself would be so incredibly grateful.

Love 2 All

He has not been played on Radio 1, MTV, Top Of The Pops or CD:UK.
These are the only shows/channels that guarantee CHART success so I promise I am not telling porkies as you suggest. I can relate to what you are saying about his voice not being suited to his style of song but this new single was chosen because of it's radio friendly appeal. His other new songs like WATCH ME FALL, GOODBYE & Carolyn may be more to your liking.
Anyway, I am just a fan who wants Matt to have a Break this time & get some recognition, I haven't lied about anything I have posted here.

I am 100% sure I have seen his video on VH1 also The Box, my children constantly have these on and drive me up the wall with Music lol (right enough i do the same to them) dancing jig

I agree it is hard to get radio play today unless ur someone like the cheekygirls or girls aloud wink I would also prefer to listen to Matt on the radio than them, but to say that he is not receiving media coverage is a little porkie. (have a hug anway)

I also agree with you that Top Of The Pops or CD:UK are the most important coverage for artists with new songs they have just released (in the UK) and that’s one route that would take him into a chart position, this may happen for him over time.

He is very talented but he has to be himself and not conform to what others think we as the listener wants to hear (also the industry), that’s something Prince certainly does not do. Matt is not some teenage so called Pop Star, he is a grown adult now who has had many years in the business people know who he is, he has to not give into what the industry wants.

People will buy if they like his style of music, are chart positions really that important these days, i don’t think so, it’s not like back in the 80’s

I wish him success like i wish everyone else.
Respect 2 U for giving the guy a shout out...

Any way that was my 10 pence worth for what it's worth lol what the duck do i know, i only buy the music...

Don't be silly, you might as well say Prince had his time with Purple Rain. If you make good music it doesn't matter how much success you have had before.
I just want Matt to have a chance. After Bros split, Matt released a solo album in 1995 called "The Key" which was a fantastic CD & should have been a success but everyone was still on the "Slag Bros Off" trip so it didn't happen.
Then in 1997 he released an album under the name Co*bra, a partnership with DJ Joe T Vannelli, again, lack of promo & media coverage made it a flop.
So this is his third time of asking as a solo artist & I think he deserves a break.

Thanks for the reply Katt, I have edited my original post to say that Matt is not receiving enough media coverage.
As for not conforming, the only way the likes of Matt Goss are going to get mainstrean success is by either signing to a massive label who will buy their success (something whic is highly unlikely) or by conforming to what 'the industry' wants so that they have a chance to get the REAL music they have reach a wider audience.
I just get so frustrated with the lack of support for talented artists like Matt Goss, Terence Trent D'Arby, Don-e & Roachford to name only a few.

Ur welcome Jolajeph smile

I truly understand your frustrations, the Music business is very fickle these days.

I feel this song he has just released isn’t the one, its kinda Pop reggae and doesn’t suit his voice and to be honest if he is attempting to reach the mainstream audience in the UK with this one, it will be difficult in my humble opinion.

The market has been over saturated with manufactured pop music in the UK (Media Hype). Now and again something special seems to jump out from no where and the music buying public runs with it.

Music slowly seems to be turning around; i am one that’s looking forward to seeing non manufactured artists, musicians in the charts, radio and TV.

The times will change smile

Andrew Roachford is a VERY talented musician - easily up there with TTD.

As for Matt Goss... can't I just send him a cheque for 3.98 instead.
