I really don't see what he has done that is so great 
He had one fantastic album, Thriller, like so many other recording artists. This one was the best of his career, the Beatles have their best album, the Stones, James Brown, Prince, Madonna, Alanis, Diana Ross, Donna Summer and the Bee Gees. What makes him, as and artist, more special that any other artist? I still don't get it. He is good, and talented but to put him on a special plane is crazy to me. There's no debating that. "Artist of the Millenium," though . . I would think that, hmm, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Ellington, Gershwin, Coltrane, Miles, Robert Johnson, Elvis (yes, Elvis, if MJ is a contender for that title, so is Elvis), Hendrix, and scores of others would have a bone to pick with that assertion.
