Who's heard of Magazine? They were one of the most underrated bands to come out of the Post-Punk era. They were basically the remnants of the Buzzcocks (I think ), and I'll admit I've only heard a couple of their tracks. But they didn't create any sort of impression on me yet. Maybe one of you orgers can tell me how good they are so I could add them to my never-ending list of New Wave faves. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Yeah, I know 'em. "Shot By Both Sides". From Manchester, England, formed by Howard Devoto. Bassist was Barry Adamson, later of The Bad Seeds, now solo. I was looking up stuff on Barry when I read about his old group and checked 'em out. What is it about Manchester, producing all these great, influential groups (EXCEPT Oasis!!!)? - Joy Division, New Order, The Fall, Happy Mondays, The Smiths, The Buzzcocks.

Well I heard that Manchester is a pretty miserable place, which is why so many great bands come out of there. But thanks for your info.
