Speaking Of Shuggie Otis! Why did the brotha quite the biz so early? And where is he right now?
I remember reading Etta James' compliment about his work(esp his guitar skills) in her book, says that he had the promising career's appeal but somehow,,,time failed him. I know that Shuggie is PURE bluse but I heard that he's a tight playa on jazz too,,,wish I could hear some o' his jazz stuff. I've been playing this album since the jump: 
The stuff in this album was OUTTA the universe(esp at that time,,,1974) listening 2 it right now,,,its still fresh and not too dated. | |

My favourite track is Island letter.

Incredible album, makes me wonder how many other unheard gems are out there waiting to be reissued. To bad Shuggie's label dropped him after this album. | |
