The Ultimate Rat Pack Collection Just picked up this dvd/cd combo and it's so cool. The dvd really captures 1965 and what they were all about.
I had seen the bad made-for-cable movies and thought I knew about Frank and the boys. One could fill a book with what I didn't know. The dvd has a young Johnny Carson who actually sings. Count Basie and a very young Quincy Jones keep the orchestra right on the money. The biggest mind-blowing thing was Sammy Davis Jr. bee-bopping, singing in and out of old songs all with just a drummer and a conga player. It just left me with my jaw hanging open, something that has to be seen. History never ceases to amaze me.

I listen to this "Sinatra Style" station at work. It just makes me feel so good. So this collection sounds like something I could dig. Also, Sammy gets played on the station. It ain't all about "The Candy Man", either. Sammy swings!
