I don't get this Nick Drake-hype! What is it? The guy is alive, nobody notices him...Then he's dead and all of a sudden he's the greatest artist to face this planet? [This message was edited Fri Oct 31 3:17:00 PST 2003 by abierman]

Nothing wrong with loving Nick Drake's music. Maybe a bit hyped, but ain't that the case with ALL popular things?
You started with the best album, btw. Working your way backwards?

A friend tipped me off to him. I'm still waiting for the right time to get into it.

NO - it was not suicide - it was an accidental overdose. Anyone interested in learning more about Nick, check out his FANTASTIC biography by Patrick Humprhies. Even if you're not familiar w/ his music, it's a fascinating read - and it will, of course, make you want to go out and buy all 4 of his CDs immediately. Well 5, if you count his "Best Of".
