So, which incarnation of Shalamar did y'all like better?

Howard Hewett/Jody Watley/Jeffery Daniels

or Howard Hewett/Delisa Davis/Micki Free?

"I Can Make You Feel Good" (1982)
"Don't Try To Change Me" (1982)
"Help Me" (1982)
"Over And Over" (1983)
"Full Of Fire" (1980)

The entire 'Friends' album (1982) is a classic.

NWF, I'm more a fan of the Howard Hewett/Jody Watley/Jeffery Daniels line-up... smile nod smile Howard has that great voice, and Jody's and Jeffery's dancing styles were so unique indivually as well as they clicked naturally as dance partners---(I saw them (up close) dance together a couple of times, and they were awesome...)...

What, what, WHAT!? No "Uptown Festival"? This was the first Shalamar song I ever heard. I think my favorite is "Take That to The Bank." Of the revamped Shalamar my favorite song is "Dancing in the Sheets".

I wasn't too fond of "Uptown Festival".I thought it was kinda silly. The first Shalamar song that I liked was "Take That To The Bank" (1978).

btw,Finess,if you watch that 'Soul Train' video with Johnny Taylor singing "Disco Lady",pay close attention to one of the dancers in the audience.Jody Watley is there! You can't miss her.

I clearly remember when Jody was a soul train dancer. What I can't remember if she was in the singing group "The Soul Train Gang" before Shalamar was formed?

Call me whateva but I really don't like Howard Hewett that much.

His head got bigger when he joined the group and he was very nasty on Jody.

Speaking of female vocalist, what was the 1st female vocalist in Shalamar? She had that church in her!

"This Is for the Lover in You" its going 2 be in my wedding ya'll(whenever that is lol)
