Scott Wieland Busted.....AGAIN! Embattled Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland has once again gotten himself into legal trouble. The artist was arrested early Monday morning (Oct. 27) in Hollywood after a traffic collision and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and misdemeanor hit-and-run.
A police spokesperson tells Billboard.com the singer was released from jail Monday afternoon after posting $15,000 bail, and has a Nov. 17 date for arraignment in Los Angeles Municipal Court. Monday marked Weiland's 36th birthday. In August, Weiland was sentenced to three years probation for two felony drug possession charges stemming from a May 17 arrest during a traffic stop. Similar drug charges sent the artist to prison in 1999, after he repeatedly violated his probation and failed to complete a rehab program. Weiland's most recent musical exploits have been focused on Velvet Revolver, the rock supergroup that also includes former Guns N' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum as well as Suicidal Tendencies' David Kushner. The band is eyeing a February release for its debut RCA album. Stone Temple Pilots will release next month on Atlantic a best-of set, "Thank You, which is set to be released in a single-CD version as well as a special edition with a bonus DVD. -- Troy Carpenter, N.Y. http://www.billboard.com/...id=2013057 Space for sale...

What a great idea! Their careers certainly could use the boost. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Yep. And I was THAT much looking forward to the Velvet Revolver release when I heard Scott kept clean... for a few months only that is, obviously. But the release is really of no importance compared to his health. Hopefully he'll experience that one clear moment soon which might guide him into the right direction. The sooner the better. There were by far too many RIPs within the past few months. Wolf

He's gonna wind up like Layne Staley another talented guy who just couldn't get his shit together. Scott's so talented and has had every chance to break thru it but he's fucked it up every time. When they did that special on VH1 where they had all these modern singers sing the The Doors, Scott was the best by far and they had a lot of BIG names! He's a lost cause at this point.

I hope his setback doesn't derail the V.R. project. I was glad to hear Slash wascoming out with some new music.

Sooo, if he was on a 3 year probation after his stint a few months ago, then THIS is a violation of probation, which carries mandatory time.
I wonder how he'll Downey his way out of it. The idiot needs to be removed from L.A. That's all. As soon as his first record came out and his heroes started dropping from horse (Cobain and Staley - hey, good cop show title) he made the decision to chase the high for good publicity. Or whatever. Whatever is causing him to throw away a great gift, over and over and over, is a sad thing to watch. But DAMN their first three albums were awesome.
