MYA tears it UP!! Just saw MYA last night here in NYC at the BBKING blues Club. MYA was amazing, she sounded great, her band was perfect and played really well, it was a small stage BUT mya still showed the amazing dancing skills, and sang while she danced (yes it can be done, MJ), plus she had 3 male dancers and 3 HOT female dancers too. MYA looked amazing too, she had her hair all braided ( ala Alicia keys), and she tore it up on stage playing songs mostly from MOODRING and throwing in some older songs from her first 2 cds.
Opening for MYA was JAVIER and all I can say is that this guy is amazing I cant believe his talent is NOT getting more notice, he plays piano and amazing guitar and his vocals are perfect, and his band, all i can say is that his band and their reminded me of the NPG at their peak, i aint kidding, check him out and MYA too. I bet it was a hot show. the Javier cd is good, I also wonder how she would sound live. Moodring sounds like it would be a good funky live show. ---------------------------------

It was a great show, the best way to see any artist is to see them in a club. Heres MYA's setlist kind of in order CASE OF THE EX GHETTO SUPERSTAR MOVIN ON LATE (new song)not on any CD (cover) THE BEST OF ME YOU FALLEN the DANCE OFF...all the dancers performed including MYA and competed wth each other MYA called it the "BANG OUT" SET2 ALL NIGHT LONG (mjg cover, very short) ITS ALL ABOUT ME (slow version) Mya pulled a guy from the crowd and brought him up on stage, all i can say is LUCKY GUY! I saw MYA live on 'Ellen DeGeneres' and thought...'Man! That band is TIGHT!'...plus she sounds better than ever...I missed her show in LA and regret it! I hear Javier is incredible as well...
Well...here's hoping for a 2nd leg of the tour! Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |
