Four Tets- Rounds(Radiohead Related) I just found out about this group, and they are a very experimental instrumental group that have beautiful melodies.. The reason I say its Radiohead related, is because Thom Yorke thinks highly of these people and the word is that he is gettin them to do his next remix on the upcoming radiohead single.
When I picked this album up, I honestly had no intention of it sounding so beautiful.. The most noticable track is Unspoken (Track Number 6 on the Rounds cd) its off their latest album, and it is really a great album, I think radiohead fans will dig this vibe... Just a little info for anyone interested in the music that doesnt get heard too often.. check it out! I guess im the Indie Music News man round here [This message was edited Tue Oct 28 17:14:45 PST 2003 by Sdldawn] | |

Four Tet is one guy, Kieran Hebden. If you like 'Rounds', then you've got to get the previous album 'Pause'. Kieran also plays in the rather wonderful band Fridge, who've also done some great albums. Whereas Four Tet is Kieran with his laptop, Fridge are all multi-instrumentalists.
Fridge, BTW, were Badly Drawn Boy's backing group for his first proper UK tour (previous backing groups include Doves & Alfie). As well as remixing the forthcoming Radiohead single, other classic Four Tet remixes include The Cinematic Orchestra 'Ode To The Big Sea', Doves 'M62 Song' and Bonobo's new single. Enjoy!
