Are There Any Beatles Fans Here on the Org? I love the Beatles, I think their music is great. I was fortunate to have an older brother who was a HUGE Beatles fan and who would always play their music in the house while I was growing up. It's a shame that two of the Beatles are now gone. Im a huge Beatle fan, and since we're on the subject
I think The White Album is the best rock/pop album that has hit the scene.. its amazing, eclectic, it has a non age resistant to the sound, and let me say.. Paul McCartney is amazing on this set.. Helter Skelter could be the best punk/rock song ever  He rocked my world on that song.
I wrote a long essay on the impact, sound structure and reasons behind the entire disk if anyone is interested, its almost complete. BTW- The rest of their albums are amazing also, I just think this is the high point of their creativity as a group and the songwriting styles are brilliant and they are still ahead of their own game, and still a great influence on music. I havent gotten the anthology DVD, anyone got is? is it good? | |

Re: the DVD set...Its the same special that was aired worldwide a few years back over a series of weeks but with a whole disc of bonus goodies n extras n shit. Its a nice set, worth the ca$h - in the Wreka Stow where I work it's a consistent seller. | |
