A day in the Life... my all time favorite Beatles track. Powerful, dreamlike, hypnotic, ambitious, creative, scary, playful

Other than that...I'm really not that big of a Beatles fan...I especially dislike their early poppy stuff

Wow, Everyone I know (including BIG Beatle fans) hat that song. George is my favorite Beatle but that is one of his worst. It just drags on too long...however it does fit the psycidelica that is Sgt Pepper.

I can't list my fave since that changes daily (just like P tunes)...but today I'll say Sexy Sadie. That one will always be in my top 5.

Actually,I really like "Within You, Without You." Great Indian musical influence, really enlightening message.

Yes, I love the percussion sounds in that song, very soothing sound.

The message is very good also.. he did a nice job on that...

If you enjoy "Within You, Without You," you'd love more Indian sitar and tabla music. Have you checked out any Ravi Shankar?

I just noticed I didn't mention WHY my favorite is Rain. Here goes...

Bold front-and-center (yet somehow not obnoxious) use of backmasking. (An entire verse, no doubt!) Catchy rhythm guitar by George and a GREAT drum performance by Ringo. Also, the lyrics and John's gritty, wailing delivery of them give the song a complete feel of abandon -- very liberating. Lastly, while Rain is quintessential Beatles psychedelica, they pull it off without sounding contrived or self-involved whatsoever. I almost forget it's a Beatles track as it's mindful somehow of The Birds' Turn, Turn, Turn.

It is the BEST SONG ON SGT PEPPER (It makes the rest of it aside from A day in the life look pedestrian)

Well done George.

why, because it moves me. it is melodic, yet simple. The lyrics evoke beautiful imagery.

How corny is McCartney?Calling the new Let it Be sessions 'Let it be Naked' I suppose he thinks he's being funny? And whats with taking off all the Lennon tracks or whatever it is he's mean't 2 have done?

well, its the truth! he was really pissed about the mis-direction of the older songs.. so this is his way of sayin, "hey, this was my idea, and this is how its supposed to be" and I dont blame him one bit for anything he has done lately, and regarding the beatles.. and he dropped like one or two tracks (that were shitty) and added a LENNON track "dont let me down" to it.. so no'one is denyin lennon any recognition..

trust me, the whole prodject is a job well done.

that, or of the 3 indian-flavored songs George did with the Beatles, it is the least interesting and most dull biggrin i prefer the other two over it, but it still makes my 4-CD Beatles best-of "anthology" biggrin
