Stevie Wonder- My Eyes Don't Cry What a great song! Known as the "Detroit Hustle" in my beloved hometown, this song brings the FUNK. Soulful lyric delivery, syrupy synth bass and wicked hooks make this a classic in my mind- my favorite Stevie Wonder song for sure!

I've got all of his albums from Music of My Mind through Hotter Than July (I've also got that soundtrack-- Woman in Red?). I need to go and get Characters. I don't know what's keeping me.  |

'Characters' is a very good album.I'll have to take it out and give it a listen.The duet with MJ "Get It" is excellent,rivaling the lame duet on MJ's 'Bad' album. | |

How much do you like "My Eyes Don't Cry?" Is the rest of the album funky? I don't own it yet. "My Eyes Don't Cry" is a cool song,as far as his 80s work goes.The rest of the album has some great moments as well.The first single "Skeletons" is extremely funky,as is the aforementioned duet with MJ.The opening track "You Will Know" is gorgeous. Did you ever get the CDs 'Innervisions'(1973),'Fulfillingness' First Finale'(1974) and 'Songs In The Key Of Life'(1976)? | |

I saw Stevie on Boston Common on this tour. He was awesome, and kept saying he could see the fans that were looking down on the show for free. How did he know that? He had a great band and really funked up "Skeletons" with Johnny Kemp's "Just Got Paid"
