"Madonna will definitely tour",confirms her manager

Madonna's manager Caresse Henry has just answered fans' questions at Maddy's official site. When asked about a rumored tour,Henry says "Madonna will definitely tour but we are not sure if it will be Summer 2004 or 2005--but it will happen".She also reveals that...

***There will be no box set anytime soon sad

***There will be no video for the new single "Nothing Fails"

***However, there WILL be a video for the song "Love Profusion".It will be shot next week,in fact.

Some good, some bad news. "Nothing Fails" deserves a video. cry The tour sounds great! I can hold off on the box set- it didn't sound worthwhile in its rumored incarnation anyway.

A tour in 2004? I guess we'll have to wait and see.My guess is that Madonna will probably do another album before touring. It's inconceivable that she would base a tour around the 'American Life' album. If the box set was being released, she could have launched a greatest hits-type tour to promote it,but now that seems unlikely as well.

But,at least we will end this year with...

***A remix EP
***Maxi-single for "Nothing Fails" with bonus remixes of "Nobody Knows Me" and "Love Profusion"
***Another children's book "Mr.Peabody's Apples" smile
***A video for "Love Profusion"

When I first heard "Love Profusion",I didn't like it.But it's now one of my favorite songs from the album.I also think it's one of the few commercial,radio-friendly tracks on the CD.Can't wait to hear the remix.Maddy totally re-recorded her vocals, singing the song in a more aggressive manner.

I got you...under my skin" smile

She's got some strange marketing going on lately.

But at least she's keeping busy. And at least she's giving American Life proper treatment. Even though it's technically a flop, I'm glad she's following through with it instead of dropping it in favor of a half-baked box set.

A tour sounds great. Having another album under her belt would be a good idea though. She's only had the one since her last tour. Shall we go for front row again bro?

Yeah, her marketing has been kinda strange these last few months...lol...but,oddly enough,I like the excitement, the rumors, the constant misinformation, the fake tracklists, etc. It's fun.Like you said,at least she's keeping busy (and in the process, driving her fans crazy...lol).

And yes,I'm glad that the box set has been delayed.Either do it right,or not at all.I don't think too many fans were thrilled about the 2-CD/2-DVD plan.I think they should wait another five years, and release a kickass box set for her 25th Anniversary.

They need to leave the dvd's out completely. Release them separately. Especially if Blonde Ambition was supposed to be one of them. It wouldn't be satisfying with only 2 audio discs. We already have 3 of hits so far. What she needs is to include all her single edits remastered. Then a disc of outtakes and rarities. It needs to be thorough without any gaps. And then she needs a collection of ALL her videos, the soundtrack ones included.

Sounds good,Tron. But I don't mind getting the two DVDs as part of a box set.My main problem was with the 2 CDs.Why do we need another simple Greatest Hits CD? As you pointed out,we already have 'Immaculate Collection','Something To Remember' and 'GHV2'.And the second CD was gonna contain a bunch of her classic remixes, which many fans already have.It would be better to give fans a 4-CD box set containing the hits and key album tracks, but also a TON of rare and unreleased tracks, demos and B-sides.Unreleased songs like "Revenge","Like A Flower" and "My Ejector" could be included,as well as B-sides like "Supernatural","Cyberraga" and "Has To Be".It should be 4 CDs of music, and two DVDS (one containing ALL her music videos, the other containing a Blonde Ambition show),that would be a superb package! Hopefully, with more time, they will come to their senses and get it right.

David, can you tell her who it is supposed to be done? The fact that the box set isn't coming out is a good thing. They must be reading what fans are saying (I assume those on her message boards ain't happy either) and rethinking it.

The idea that there isn't going to be a video for "Nothing Fails" boggles the mind! "Love Profusion" isn't bad but if "Nothing Fails" is the single? Then again, maybe this is a good idea. A video could be too distracting. Myabe radio will actually play the song! It is just too good to ignore. And the fact that she is releasing like 3 singles at once and one of them isn't "Mother And Father" kind of sucks. Still, it could be an interesting next few months with all the stuff we are getting.
