I Want New Music! Give me some ideas! Every day I peruse this forum for the hope of finding something interesting to check out...but lately nothing has come up.
I'm looking for some FRESH sounds to listen to... These are the albums I have most recently bought to give you an idea of what I like... OutKast - Speakerboxxx/Love Below TTD - Wildcard! and Symphony or Damn Sly and the Family Stone - The Essential Mya - Mood Ring Those are on my playlist most at the moment... So, what are you listening to and why do you like it? Cheers.

Looks like we like some of the same stuff.
Stymie recommended "Thicke - Cherry Blue Skys" to me, even though I had not heard a note, and she was absolutely right. It is bloody fantastic. Give that a go. .

As is Neither Fish Nor Flesh (might be a bit challenging for some tastes, but I love it). Unless you've already got those

I can't stress this ENUFF!!!
If you love MUSIC, you'll absolutely LOVE Beth Hart She has a Brand spanking new CD out tomorrow called "Leave The Light On"..from what I have heard so far this Cd is gonna be AWESOME. And I have heard about 1/3 of the album. Her other CDs are absolute staples in ANYONES music library, her last release "Screaming for My Supper" and the CLASSIC debut Cd "IMMORTAL" If you don't like Beth Hart, you might as well throw it all down and call it quits! Hope that HELPS!! Beth Hart - Immortal Beth Hart - Screaming For My Supper Beth Hart - Leave The Light On ENjoy!!!

I agree with 'nana ~ David Sylvian solo projects are wonderful and especially "Secrets" ~ and Sigur Ros ~ I cannot say enough about them ~ just amazing!!! Perry Blake is pretty interesting and angst filled (often compared to Nick Drake and David Sylvian). Enjoy!

Check out the group Drugs. They are members of P-Funk and some other rock bands. You will not be disappointed, one of the best lps I've heard in some time.

Love the Boomkat CD but do not love the Moloko one. It has one good song and one crazy song. But was bored with it after only two or three spins. Boomkat is funkier, Moloko is too much European dance music (I'm from europe btw), like my music a bit more funky. Gotta check out Lamb, not familiar with them. Recently bought the latest JunkieXL, pretty good album too!
BTW did you already pick up some good ideas from this thread?
