Interesting. But if that's the version that gets played and is used in the video, it's gonna tank like the other singles from this album. It's decent, but it loses all the charm and beauty of the original. This is my favorite Madonna album and just about my favorite song by her, but she sure is fucking this project up. Thanks for posting it though.

I like this remix. It's got a cool, breezy uptempo sound, and this version will probably get played in clubs. Many of her remixes these days sound too "cluttered" with too many things going on,but this one is nice.Alot of fans are bitching because the choir has been removed, though.

Not sure how reliable this info is,but here is what I've found out about the upcoming remix CD...

MADONNA "American Life: Remixed and Revisited" EP
Release date: November 25,2003
Catalog Number: Warner Bros. 2-48624
UPC CD: 0-9362-48624-2-0

*rumored* tracklist---

"Nothing Fails" (Tracy Young remix)
"Nothing Fails" (Peter Rauhofer remix)
"Hollywood" (Camaione and Cilione blow-up version)
"Love Profusion" (Camaione and Cilione blow-up version)
"Love Profusion" (Ralphi Rosario remix)
"Nobody Knows Me" (Peter Rauhofer Private Life remix)
"Nobody Knows Me" (Mount Sims Old School Mix)
"Nobody Knows Me" (Mount Sims Italo Kiss Mix)
"Nobody Knows Me" (Above and Beyond Mix)
"Into The Hollywood Groove" (Peter Rauhofer remix)

As for the box set...an insider claims "The long rumored box set, whcih was supposed to be released in time for the holidays and was rumoured to contain two CDs and two DVDs,is apparently NOT happening this year.(Which I call a good thing because the 2-CD thing was a bad idea. She already has 2 CDs of greatest hits---some could argue 3 if you include 'Something To Remember'---and there are almost another 2 CDs worth of hits not included on those.Either contain them all and make it inclusive of her entire career or don't do a boxed set at all".

How dare you hijack my Madonna thread to discuss LaToya! wink

But to answer your question...that video and song you're referring to is "Heart Don't Lie" from 1984.The video shows LaToya in high school, singing to a boy who couldn't care less.At the end, they all get up and dance together.Such a cheesy song...lol

well 24hrs on digital cable lol.

everything is broken into different shows.. popshow, rock show, the 80s,request hr(which is tops),and other stuff...

but its only bad in the way you need a video tape handy to cause you never know what you'll catch.

confuse

hmmm, I just tried to check out the song, but it wasn't working...I couldn't get any audio. I'll try again from home later, though.

I'm very wary since there is no choir in the remix, and that portion is what makes the song for me. But, I will reserve judgement till I can hear it myself.

Hmm,I just heard it again, with no problems. But try again later. It's a cool little dance remix and her vocals don't get buried in it (a problem I had with the "Hollywood" remixes).

i haven't listened to it... but no choir and it's a dance remix? i doubt that this is the radio version. or rather, it's an edit of the remix, but that the original album edit that's already been sent out to various places is the one that they're pushing at radio (if you can call what they're doing with Madonna songs on the radio "pushing" disbelief)

The link isn't working. I'd love to hear this remix though.

I've always thought that "Nothing Fails" was perfect as it was but the way the background singers are used is little distracting. Can't understand a dance remix. Also, the EP smacks of giving up on the album. I mean, "Revisiting" an album that shook some fans and critics the wrong way and was one of your lowest sellers in years? I don't know but I guess the EP is only really meant for hardcore fans and is kind of like single. Hopefully Madonna will try to push the original verisons of the songs that work more. Why no "Mother and Father" remixed or mentioned as a single or anything, the song most people consider one of the best on the album? Kind of glad to here that they are rethinking or at least pushing back the box set. They should just release "Blond Ambition" as a DVD already!
