strange...those people are all dead now...hmm

Damn you busted me. I'm death. How do you do?

A funny thing about Lane Staley - after he died, the bass player released a statement saying that the band was TOTALLY a corporate assemblage to cash in on the Soundgarden/Pearl Jam success... to which, a friend of mine replied, "The band may have been faked, but the addictions were genuine".

I imagine the same could be said about Stone Temple Pilots.

Y'know, I don't care what the bass player says, the first 3 albums are all-time greats. Laynes' voice and lyrics really will never be touched (even if the guitarist finds a sound-alike).

Faked like the song "Down in a Hole", yeah, right.

I saw a Behind the Music that said the same thing. They were put together by a record company. But they wrote their songs, right? I loved Alice in Chains. Lane had a great voice. What a shame. Just Say No!

worst experience: Jay Kay from Jamiroquai. He´s arrogant. The rest of his band was cool, though.

best experience: Madonna. She was down to earth and very relaxed.

You met TWO of my favorite artists!! Tell me more smile

Met the whole band Jamiroquai in a McDonalds restaurant in Germany in 1995 (yes, I thought they were vegetarians, too). They were not very well known in germany back then so they could sit there unnoticed. I sat down at the table next to them and we began a conversation. They were happy that somebody recognized them and invited me to come backstage in the evening after their concert (I already had a ticket for it) and I gave them my name. My name really was on the guestlist in the evening and I went backstage. I got autographs and it was cool. Only Jay was annoyed the whole evening and dind´t talk to nobody.

Madonna I met this year in may while she was at a german TV show. I went to the rehearsals (I work for the TV channel) in the afternoon and Madonna asked me and some others to sit down at her feet so she could get a feeling for the audience in the evening. She danced with us while performing. It was cool!

Wow,sounds exciting! I envy you smile

A friend of mine started up a Promotions company and I had a chance to meet several Celebrities, let me take a moment to brag about it. biggrin

I met De la soul-Most of them were very cocky (as most stars are) and Maceo never did pay my guy for that bag of weed he fronted him.

I kicked with it Fishbone for a day and had a blast! All of them were some cool mutha's, Dirty Walter was firing up some mad blunts, though I think one of them bastards slipped me some type of hallucinagen. flower

Run Dmc-them cats really do think they are Kings.

Res and Fish(again)- Cool peeps!

Bernie Worrell- Cool Peeps!

DJ Spooky-Pretentious

Del the Funky Homosapien-Cool Peeps!

Pharcyde( when it was all of them)-Cool muthafucka's!

Kool Keith- Kicked it with him for 2 days and had a fucking blast! talkin about limos, strippers, and diapers out the window!

Andre 3000-Told me to get out of the dressing room smoking weed. stoned "you cain't smoke dat in heerre mayne"

Eric Benet-Met him at a Prince aftershow- Cool peeps! lol

BTW I had a chance to meet "P" at that aftershow, some girll came up to me and told me he was over there behind a speaker talking to people, by the time I made it to the speaker he was taking the stage. He played for about an hour, as he was leaving the stage I went near the exit of the stage and yelled "Hey Man! Where you taking that Funk!? Yall can't be done yet! (I was so drunk!) I yelled it over and over and Kat(the guitar player) came up to me and said, "Talk to the owner".

I know I'm an idiot.
The rest noone would probably know who the fuck I was talkin about.

yeah. he tried to say he wrote that in court when huey lewis sued him for biting that bass line from "i want a new drug". the judge found in favour of the plaintiff, saving huey lewis the trouble of saying "f#@k you - pay me"!

But Alice In Chains predates Pearl Jam's success by 2 years. confuse

Last Friday I was at the Supperclub (www.supperclub.com) in Amsterdam and Pink was sitting next to me. Funny was that she was a guest in a dutch radio show that afternoon, which I had heard, and she was on dutch television that same evening before I left the house. I chatted with her a little bit. She is very small and a little trampy, but was fun to hang with. I don't dig her music, though I like her attitude.

Um..lets see I've met the following...

MARIAH CAREY-after a show in Vegas in 2000..she was cool...too many security guards around her...it was a pretty quick meeting but I told her that I owned everything from her including a 'Vision of Love' cassette singe...she laughed...I was told prior that she would'nt sign anything...I took the liberty of asking her to sign my poster and she asked for a marker and signed it! I also took photo...(if I had the ability to post I would)

NORAH JONES-After a show about a year ago (before she blew up) we waited near her bus...she came out and chatted with us, signed posters and was very down to earth....

LIZ PHAIR-couple of weeks ago during a soundcheck...she was cool...this PR bitch was next to her rushing her though. She looked annoyed.

MACY GRAY-Well this was a 'near' encounter..after a show...we were in line to meet her in her tour bus...when it came to our turn we walked to the bus...as we were about to jump on..she ordered for the doors to be shut...we were so bummed...reeked of weed in that bus!

OUTKAST-after a show in Phoenix in 2000...total ASSHOLES and this really did affect me wanting to listen to them ever again. I do own the new record but I dont love it as much due to the fact that they were 'head up their own asses' MF"s!

LUDACRIS-after that same show in Phx in 2000...drunk but pretty nice...very eager to sign for peeps...

THE DONNAS-Hung out with them in their tour bus...very cool people...I shared a Snickers bar with the 'larger' Donna!

LUCY PEARL (w/ Dawn)- Very fucking cool! All three of them were so down to earth and cool.

KD LANG-Back in 2000 before a show...she was really nice...very nice skin!

DWELE-New soul singer...very nice...I met him at a meeting with my company

VAN HUNT & RANDY JACKSON-Van Hunt will have a new album out next year...he is amazing...very eclectic multi-instrumentalist...His manager 'American Idol's' Randy Jackson was there as well..he was funny...he laughed at me everytime I referenced Prince!

QUEEN LATIFAH-Very cool, dressed down in jeans and a white tee...still beautiful!

ELIJAH WOOD-At Coachella Festival in Indio, Calif...we stood near each other during the White Stripes set...he was cool as hell

JARED LETO-with his band 30 Seconds to Mars...didnt like Jared at all...very stuck on his ugly ass self

FISCHERSPOONER-I met Casey Fischer (the singer) and he was funny as hell...I liked him alot

ICE CUBE-Back in '95...he was alright...looked annoyed about something

I know I have more...many of unknown bands or long forgotten bands...but these are the highlights!
