"Behold A lady"....... "hot thing" resurrected Is it just me or does Dre's "behold a Lady" sound like "Hot Thing" in disguise? The synth line and the vocal arrangements are what makes me relate the 2.
Also I know this has probably been discussed before but "She lives in my lap" possess some of the same qualities as "Dorthy Parker". I know I'm an idiot, but If you sing the first verse of "Dorthy Parker" it fits right in with the first verse of "She lives in my lap". Anyone else feel this way?

For some reason, "Behold A Lady" reminds me of a Lionel Ritchie/Commodores song. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but it grew on me.

And "She Lives in My Lap" sounds like "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker"...except...without all the interesting bits.

And ain't it a shame that the line about taking our kids to museums to see what a lady looks like is kinda true???

Yeah, I can kinda hear that. Still, they're worlds apart. "She Lives in my Lap" is definitely taken from the Camille songbook though, that's for sure. I love it!!

She stays alone never shed's a single tear.. Dorthy was a witress on the promonade She works the night shift. Daym i wish there was an acapella of She Lives in my lap & and instrumental of "Balld of Dorthy Parker" No Behold A Lady sounds nuthin like Hot Thing 2 me. I think Hot Thing has some better comparasins 2 other songs though. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Well, I know it might be a stretch and they're not identical by any means, but, next time you're listening to "Behold a Lady" throw some of the "Hot Thing" lyrics in there. Personally everytime I hear that song I hear "Hot Thing". but as I see I'm alone on this one.
