***The box set has been postponed until early 2004.It will include the unreleased track "Ejector",which was recorded last year during the 'American Life' sessions.

***Madonna's first children's book "The English Roses" has sold over 500,000 copies,and is expected to sell a million by year's end.The next book "Mr.Peabody's Apples" is due next month.

***Just in time for Christmas,Warners will released a Madonna EP.It will contain remixes for "Nothing Fails","Nobody Knows Me" and "Love Profusion".It is titled simply 'American Life EP'.

She has also recorded vocals for Britney Spears next single which is out at the end of the month.

Peter was spinning 'Nothing Fails' remix and 'Get Into the Hollywood Groove' this weekend. I didn't know a remix ep was coming.

nobody knows me? for some reason i thought Nothing Fails had already been determined as the 3rd single...? did that change, or maybe its only for the UK market?

they should do both...

Well who ever said ROL was a materpiece? I always thought it was really good but nothing amazing! In my opinion, everything Madonna has done since "Bedtime Stories" (her last amazing album IMHO) has either been decent (the "Evita" stuff, "I Want You", "Power Of Goodbye", "Hollywood" etc) or really good ("Nothing Fails", "Music"(the track), "Skin", "Impressive Instant", etc). I haven't heard anything that bad (although the Britney Spears duet is kind of below her standards).

Looks like it's gonna be a full-fledged remix album,geared to the clubs and dance music fans.This seems like something to tide fans over until her next major project (the box set?).

Ray Of Light is intrspective lyrically as well as musically. Even the techno-y songs on that album at least follow the organic heartbeat of the album.

Music was just a cold shower. Catchy, but not lasting.

'Ray Of Light' was Madonna's 'Sign O' The Times'.It was her creative high point and to most people, she will never be able to top it.But I still find much joy in 'Music' and 'American Life'.

i'm not enthused. i'm sick of these types of remixes. the prospects of a club-mixed Nothing Fails leaves me non-plussed, as does a Rauhofer remix of Into The Hollywood Groove. the first and last Madonna remix Rauhofer did that was any good was Nothing Really Matters

i just don't think they are going to work that way. i'd love to see a radio remix for Nothing Fails, that smooths it out a bit, and an acoustic remix, and an extended mix (a la Bad Girl). Love Profusion NEEDS a remix. but just to punch it up and make it listenable (something like the Keep It Together remix). the standard club mix isn't going to interest me. Nobody Knows Me was MADE to be remixed, so that's okay, but i wish they'd put the full 10 minute version on there as well, instead of just a bunch of club mixes that sound alike.


it's been a long time since a Madonna remix maxi has interested me as its own thing, rather than just as things to pick and choose from when making a club mix disc. they've really gone downhill she ditched Junior and went wtih Calderone and Rauhofer. Junior was no great shakes, but he could at least come up with some different-sounding remixes (from one song to the next, or hell, even for the same song).
