Bowie - Reality re-release It's true, sometime in the second half of November, the album will be re-released with an extra DVD included.
The Reality part of the Riverside show is on the DVD, which is Region 2 only.

I liked the original one better. But I'm jsut really happy to have the Riverside show on DVD. The encore would have been nice, though. But it's great anyway.

Yes, of course, and I really enjoyed the broadcast. Nicely filmed and a cool stage design.

hmmm! i think the change in background color lessens the amount of irritation i experience due to the manga quality of his image.

Feh. The thing's gonna be in Region 2, and I'm not gonna buy another Bowie reissue with stuff I can't play. I'm starting to get a little annoyed with all his reissues these days anyway..."Ziggy" and "Aladdin" were cool, but "Black Tie"? And I always thought one should wait longer than three months before putting out a reissue of one's album. Go figure. Bleh.

Also, if you're willing to take a chance it's possible it'll play on a region 1 player anyway. When it comes to dvd regions/formats/compatability it is very bloody confusing. I haven't figured it out yet - I have played region 2 dvd's on a region 1 machine. These were a mixture of dvd's bought in Ireland (same format as the UK, I believe, so that would make them Pal???), and imports. However, not all of the dvd's I brought to the US would play on the region 1 player. I assume the ones that would play were NTSC and the ones that wouldn't were Pal, although I'm not sure. I'll check. Or perhaps someone who actually knows how all this stuff works would care to shed some light. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.
