New U2 Album Gossip This was sent to me in a rock newsletter but the source was not cited so take it however you want:
"U2's forthcoming album is going to be angry and aggressive according to frontman BONO, and the reason for this anger is that guitarist THE EDGE has had enough of Bono's political activities "He's driving it and he's going, 'This is enough, if I see one more photo of you with a dodgy politician I'm going to throw up.'" The album wil be released in 2004 and the band are planning a tour to promote the record." Let the rain come down...17 days....

The Edge isnt the only one!!!
Whenever theres a political rally, a charity organisation event or any function honouring some leader, political or religious, guess whos always there!!!??? Dont get me wrong, I really admire him and what he does, but I am convinced he has forgotten that hes a rock Icon who needs 2 get back 2 performing and recording again!! U2 fans need him 2, u know!!

As long as Oprah or The Pope aren't on the album, I'm happy.

Angry and agressive are good.
But I like Bono's politics. Too bad they have to have inner tension to create those emotions.

Angry + U2 usually means some damn good music. I'm hoping this new album might be a throwback to the first three albums, I liked ATYCLB but it was a little soft for my tastes.
Too bad the band isn't to happy about Bono as a political figure, though. I think he's really done a lot of good with his star power. ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~
