I never got into, or even began to appreciate, either of them. I actually respect The Beach Boys' harmonies -- it's unfortunate that they seemed unable to incorporate them into even one decent song.

personally i am not fanatically about their music...nor own anything they have released bar their greatest hit collections...HOWEVER (and this is a big one) i understand their importance in the history of pop music and song writing. Their influence (both good and bad) is felt both lyrically and musically on the majority of music since their time. their relevance is sorely understated.
